good mod that does exactly what is says, but it prevents armor skills from leveling, so i can't really endorse it. the slower degradation mod here is probably a better solution for most players: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/35760
This mod seems to very slowly decay my weapons and armor rather than get rid of it completely(Which doesnt bother me too much but obviously id prefer 0 decay) i've been playing for about 16 hours and the first 7 of those hours all my stuff was 100% but now its in the 80s-90s. Are there any mods that might conflict with this? I dont have any other ones for decay so I dont know
I figured out how to get rid of this slow degradation you mentioned. It happens because of the damage dealt to weapons while blocking. There's a parameter called fBlockAmountWeaponMult, which must be set to 0.0000 instead of 0.5000, and this damn degradation miraculously disappears. The parameter can be found in Gameplay => Settings...
You can edit that parameter in CS. Just load Oblivion.esm and this mod as active file, click on "Gameplay" on the top bar > Settings then do as he mentioned above. Cheers
I checked aswell and it looks like there is no fix, it looks like the Heavy Armor and Light Armor skills leveling up depends on the damage they take so there's no way to level up unless they decay. Looks like your best bet is to simply slow down the decay rather than outright removing it completely. I found this mod that slows down the decay: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/35760?tab=description&BH=0
For some reason this mod is showing up as a MORROWIND file in the forum header. Not sure why, because this is an OBLIVION file. Sorry if anyone gets confused by this.
