thanks for this mod, i wish there was a rule where if a mod with text on the screen had to have voice acting or the mod would be rejected by this site. that would add ambeince to all mods. and get rid of bad mods too.

    Thanks for this.

And Ubert, would you like a modder to put their voice into the game if they were HORRIBLE actors? What if their voice was irritating, or more importantly, didn't fit the character at all? A good voice over requires talent, and of course a voice that fits the character. I didn't give the leprechaun in my mod any voice work because I made an utter ass out of myself trying to, and it just didn't work.

Try and enjoy mods, voice or no voice. If you judge a mod because of that so strongly, I don't think you'll enjoy other great rpgs like Morrowind (Not too many voice overs OH NOEZZZ!!111).

Also, I highly doubt it's in an average modder's budget to hire freakin drama students (o____O seriously?). This is a hobby for most, not a wallet burner XD. I know those are your preferences, but your standards are very high for player made mods. Make your own mod, put your own voice in it, and you'll see it's not always a cakewalk. It's easier said than done.

~ Cheapass who obviously doesn't care about the quality of the mods he makes or plays.

Thanks so much man, all the links on the CS wiki about programs to create silent mp3's were broken and none of my software would work, now I can use these already created mp3's thanks a lot. Maby in the future you can create more acuret ones like 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 seconds and so on.

I agree with Stampede. IMO, a mod with great dialogue but no voice acting is better then a mod with great dialogue and crappy voice acting. Laughable voice acting can ruin a mod no matter how good it is.

This is a thread to discuss the uploaded file. If people want to use the silent mp3 for their own mods that is their choice. Despite what you may think, not everybody can afford to buy a mic or 'hire drama students', nor would they want to. I know I don't. The voice acting in Oblivion is generally laughable anyway. <img class=">

Its my personal opinion that mods should only use these as little as possible. I hate silent mods. A true modder that is trying to give the player an enjoyable expeirience should not be shy to let their voice be heard. A good mic isn't that hard to get and shouldn't cost that much. get one and make some recordings of your voice. Get audacity and edit it a little if you dont like your voice overs. Don't be cheap with a mod for the greatest RPG ever made and make it silent. Oblivion is meant to be HEARD. And if you absolutely have to, hire a few colledge drama students to do the voice overs. I've only seen one mod that encorperates this feeling and that is a snail racing mod. We need more mods with sound and i thank any modder who gives sound to their products.
