This series can now be considered OBSOLETE. I won't be offering any more support for these patches.

I have been granted permission from Trails of Cyrodiil author to revamp the original trails mods, and am actively doing so at the time of this posting. Along those lines, I have three main goals. One will be to re-route trails in key areas in order to eliminate conflicts with popular mods. Many of these patches will no longer be necessary as a result.

Most of the patches contained in this package were never updated to be compatible with Unique Landscapes v2.0 anyway. So it is unlikely they work at all in their current state.

Cannot find your new version of trails of cyrodil, so I just wanted to ask how things are coming along for this project (:

No rush from me, simply curious.

Approx 75% complete. Rerouting to avoid mod conflicts where possible took a bit longer than expected. Now it's down to adding path grids ...on every last bit since none of them were ever done.

I really like this mod and would like to use it in my playthrough but unfortunately it conflicts with Reclaiming Sancre Tor and Oblivifall Losing My Religon and sadly no compatibility patch exists. So this add to get cut from my mods.Hopefully some one will make a compatibility patch for those mods in the future.

In order to do that, someone would need to know where to start looking. The trails cover a huge expanse of terrain. Please provide some useful information as to where the conflicts are. Then perhaps at some point in the future they might be resolved.

I unfortunately uninstalled the mod from my installation but I do remember some of the places I encountered conflicts or issues

      which I will list now
1.Stones Throw Camp a location added my reclaiming Sancre Tor just north of the Brina Cross Inn on the Western Trails
2.The Shrine of Kynareth added by Oblivifall Losing My Religion which is placed near the Wayshrine of Kynareth where you find Bralsa Andaren the Master Trainer in Destruction also on the western trails which were the only two issues I found on the western trail

3.I wasn't able to check all of it but a good chunk of the Colovian Highlands Trail was fine except for the starting area near Battlehorn Castle though that might have been do to UL but it was fine elsewhere in that region

4.The North Shortcut and Bleaker's Way path were fine

5.I wasn't able to check all of the central trail mostly the north south portion but portion the follows close to the Skingrad Bravil road added by Roads of Cyrodiil was fine once I added the compatibility patch.

6.The East Trail started out fine and then I ran into land tears near Fort Scinia and couldn't pick up the trail again from there so I don't know how the rest of the eastern trail fares.

7.I didn't get around to checking the Southeast Trail at all because the other issue lead my to uninstall the mod before I had check that area in my testing.

So if anyone else with Unique Landscapes,Better Cities,Oblivifall Losing My Religion and Reclaiming Sancre Tor wants to check out the rest of the Eastern Trail, the entirety of the south east trail and the north south portion of the central trail, then go for it because those are the only area I didn't get to.

If I reinstalling the mod and patches temporarily to finish scouting the trails would help and wouldn't break my install,I would be willing to do so.
I am using Wrye Bash, the Bashed Patch and its wonderful installers function and BOSS for Sorting.

No that's probably enough to go on. At least gives me a ball park idea of where to look, and what plugins to look at. No idea when I may get around to it though.

#3 on your list: There is a UL patch for that exact area. So it is most likely a UL conflict. Although, there are several other mods which touch that area also. The town mod Billsburg comes to mind.

And that sort of example is the main problem with any roads or trails mod. The huge game area covered by these trails means that any number of mods, or combinations of mods, in various areas, could possibly have conflicts.

I did reinstall the mod to finish checking the trails to see If I could pinpoint or at least guess at which mod could be causing the conflicts.

I will list the conflicts I found by trail

1.Colovian Highlands Trail access point near Battlehorn Castle(mention in my first post might be either Oblivion Uncut or perhaps though unlikely AFK Weye cause I was using the Colovian Highlands version and I deactivated the regular colovian highlands esp,so it couldn't be that nor could it be Better Cities Chorrol Hinterlands.)The issue is a pretty big land tear
2.Colovian Highlands Trail near the first o in the word colovian highlands in the map the trail just dissppears due conflicts with Rathunas
3.Colovian Highlands Trail Landscape tears and the trail going missing due to conflicts with Arthmoors Sutch Village
4.Rest of Colovian Highlands Trail was fine.
4.The West Trails Landscape issues and losing the trails and tears due to incompatibilities with Reclaiming Sancre Tor and Oblivifall Losing my Religion.Notably in the Reclaiming Sancre Tor Location Stones Throw Camp and the Oblivifall Location The Shrine of Kynareth.
5.The North Short cut and Bleakers Way Trail are fine
      6.The Central Trail is fine
7.East Trail the southern ends start point is concealed with a wall along the path to Monk Rest Chapel added by UL the Eastern Peaks
8.East trail I noticed some floating Milk Thistle,Motherwort and Clouded funnel caps on the trail near Boethias Shrine Cause unknown
9.East Trail Landscape Tears near Fort Scinia I believe due to a conflict with Fighters Guild Quests
      11.Rest of Trail was fine
12.Southeast Trail Some floating rocks near Abandoned Mine Conflict unknown Maybe UL
13.Southeast Trail Floating rocks near fort building destroyed by landslide near Canulus Lake Town. Maybe UL
14.South East Trail Rocks and Tree block path on island in Panther River near Fort Redwater and Kindred Cave Maybe UL or OOO
      15.Rest of Trail was fine

So I finished scouting all the trails and complied my list of conflicts and what I believe the cause to be.I hope this help narrow down where to look and what to look at because this mod is awesome,I would I like to use it if,the conflicts can get solved.

      1. Not AFK_Weye, I've done enough patch work in this region to know that AFK doesn't make edits in that spot. Oblivion Uncut possibly. Apparently that mod was updated since last I was active, and has added things in various places. Don't know first hand though.

      2. Unaware of conflicts with Rathunas. That mod didn't exist at the time I created all of the Trails patches. Something to look at for sure.

      3. Will need to double check, but pretty sure I created a patch which accounts for Sutch Village. Although on 2nd thought, it may not be included here on this page. I'll investigate and let you know.

7/8. The Eastern Peaks patch had no remaining conflicts. Could be something that was unknowingly botched when the patches were converted for the UL Merged Compilation. I'll look into that. As for floaters...well Eastern Peaks is full of them without any patches. I fixed what I saw within proximity of the trail, but undoubtedly missed some.

      9. There were no previous reports of conflicts with Fighters Guild Quests. So this would need a patch created.

12/13/14. Would need to look at these to see what is the culprit. Could be something I missed (although I play tested all this stuff extensively), or again there may be some issue with the UL Merged conversion for these patches. Could be something was unintentionally pruned out when converting.

Yeah the issue near Battlehorn Castle probably Oblivion Uncut because the location Spy Rock added by the mod which is right across from Battlehorn Castle, its part of the Jirolin Doran Quest.

I didn't the floating rocks were already present in Eastern Peaks, not that they are the big of deal, the only other issue was that the stone fence obscures the end point of the east trail near Malada but still not the big of a deal.

I believe that conflicts is with Fighters Guild quests because it occurs just past the location Endor Cave added by the mod and it could be a result of landscape changes made their conflicting with changes made by Trails of Cyrodiil, because once I uninstalled TOC that area is fine.

Any chance for compatibility patch with Unique Landscapes 2.1 merged edition?

Is there a way to run Trails of Cyrodiil + Unique Landscapes Chorrol Hinterland + Better Cities together?

Because the Trails of Cyrodiil patch for Chorrol Hinterland, as far as I could see, is only avaiable for the not Better Cities compatible version of Chorrol Hinterland.

    Thank you!

I've found another conflict, this time between Knights of the Nine Revelation (http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/42490/?). Relleis Castle, located just North West of Fort Roebek, is sat right on the trail and causes a land tear on either side of the castle.

I'm using the Better Cities version of Trails of Cyrodiil but this should apply to all versions of the mod.

This is a heads up to those people who are using this mod and Verona House Bloodlines SI Fixed (http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/36389/?). You should load VHBloodlines 1.2.esp after whatever version of Trails of Cyrodiil you are using, otherwise you will see horrible land seams surrounding the mansion called The Retreat (located just east of Fort Black Boot). With it loading after Trails of Cyrodiil some of the outer stone features in the gardens are slightly buried but everything otherwise looks fine and is perfectly playable, also the Trail ends up with a gap in it but it's a small price to pay.

Based on the info you provided there is a conflict between Verona House: Bloodlines and the Central Trail plugin. It will apply to all merged versions, but only the Trail Central plugin for non-merged versions. Since swapping load order doesn't truly fix the problem, there is no point in doing so. A compatibility patch would need to be created to fix the problem.

I'm really busy at the moment trying to finish up another project. With any luck I may be free to fix this issue soon enough.

A patch would be appreciated but at least currently with how i have it ordered there is no big land seams. Thanks for all the hard work you do patching mods and maintaining BOSS

I never got around to updating TOC patches for the BC version of Chorrol Hinterland. UL Chorrol Hinterland for BC6 contains many differences from the stock Chorrol Hinterland (which the TOC patches are mastered to). While the patches may actually still work with the BC version (if we are incredibly lucky), they would need to be re-mastered to that version first. Not sure when I might have time to do that.

    Regards to the previous post:

The optional BC compatible files heavily alter trail approaches to Cheydinhal and Skingrad, eliminating the need for those two UL patch files. The UL Master patches were not designed with BC in mind, so will not work with the BC Compatible files. If using the BC Compatible files, one will need to use individual UL patch files for Bravil Barrowfields, Brena River Ravine, Chorrol Hinterland, Cloudtop Mountains, Eastern Peaks, Fallenleaf Everglade, Panther River, River Ethe, and Snowdale.

Additionally if one wants to use Roads of Cyrodiil along with Trails of Cyrodiil, there is another entirely separate patch available for that at The One Stop Patch Shop.

Hey Mhahn, as always I'm in awe with your work, but I'd like to ask for clarification on one issue - or to renew my old request from 2014. What's the minimum number of patches for those who would use Trails Merged and all UL's these days - is there one esp to rule them all? Perhaps that would include old UL patches, too? Something like a huge, ferocious, man-eating megapatch?

I'll have to do a tally and get you some accurate info. Be back later today.

Edit: It's rather disturbing that after all the time spent with TOC I even had to think about the answer to your question. But out of sight out of mind I suppose.

At any rate, the minimum number of patches required to run Trails of Cyrodiil Merged with all the UL mods installed.....is one. There is a "UL Master Patch" included with each download package version. Be aware that Master patches do require all 10 of the conflicting UL mods to be installed.
