I really like the cuirass, but would be really cool with different coloured cuirasses as well, like a brown one that matches the skirt, a greenish one, a black one....maybe some version of the leather armor from Armamentarium in "nature" colours with the emblem at the chest.
I could try but I never understood how it works. I have opened textures in gimp and started to put new color on top of textures, but it always just becomes like an extra layer on top mixing with the color already there.
That how I stated, then realized I could cut out parts I didn't want recolored and make those parts, I cut out, into new layers and then just remerge them later.
I guess I need to go through a gimp tutorial. I also want to change those ugly lower class shirts into not having aprons attached to them, but that's in Blender I think
Oh wow, thanks alot. I look for vanilla style clothes mods all the time. I hadn't even realized the closed were muddy! Do you know of a mod where the robes aren't open below the belt as well? The robes look like crap in Oblivion. I don't even know what that is supposed to be, it looks like some cosack riding skirt or something, but it's supposed to be a robe!
I just checked those lowerclass skirts with aprons again, and I realized they are just another texture. How do I remove part of a texture and take another part from the same texture to fill it in? Is there some quick explanation or do I have to become an artist to do that?
Great work!!! Make the foresters more, well, forestry. I always wondered me how that guys can run all day into woods, logs and mud with that heavy Legion Armor!!! Now your work make the things more immersive.
One question: There's a female version? Because I've edited almost half of the legionnaries into women, and the forester are included.
Great armor set! It really captures that DnD ranger feeling. It always bothered me how the Imperial Legion's rangers/hunters looked like civilians with bows. Although for some reason the shield says missing mesh in-game even though I have the mesh in my Data folder. Other than that, this mod is a must have for those trying to achieve an "Improved Vanilla" feeling for their setup. Endorsed!
thanks i pertty much found it odd too. It didn't make much since
here is the issue with the shield the mesh path should look like this for the male model. If you have tesedit change it to this v Armor\Imperial Forester\Imperial Forester Shield.nif
instead it look like this in tesedit Armor\Imperial Forester\Imperial ForesterShield.nif
Thanks for the tip! It still amazes me that this mod has been updated for this long; it's quite admirable considering that other projects with whole teams behind them haven't been updated for years. Thanks again, and I'll be eagerly awaiting the next update!
great mod was looking for some cool imperial ranger gear and yours is a simpel yet great armour mod ^^ and its great cus im using morroblivion too and now i have so many different armours cus i also have the morrowind imperial armors ^^
There is a small glitch in the directory set-up. The green cloak appears invisible because the texture path points to clothes\capesandcloaks, but in the download the folder is called "cloths". Found no other bugs, and my foresters finally have a decent look.
