If you have an old version of Enhanced Camera installed please uninstall it before installing the new version. The reason is that the name of the dll file was changed to match the Fallout versions so the old version should be deleted to avoid conflicts.
1.4a: Fixed a bug where loading a saved game when in the dialogue menu causes your body to disappear. 1.4b: Fixed head tracking not working in 3rd person. Also fixes compatibility with Look Here You.
* Name changed to match Fallout versions. Please ensure previous versions are completely uninstalled to avoid conflicts. - There is no more head bob (can be re-enabled in the ini). - Can now see your arms when weapons are sheathed. - Your body is now visible when dead or knocked out. - Added ability to rotate the camera during sitting/knockout animations. - New ini settings to set how far down you can see while sitting/horseback. - Fixed a rare bug where the body can fade-out when playing mod added animations in first person. - Several other improvements.
No working for me, At the startup of the game, it crashes with Enable Camera enable, Made as Supierce said CameraMode to 0 in OblivionReloaded.ini. But the game still crashes at startup. Too bad to love it in Skyrim.
This mod no longer works with OR on versions above 6.5 It overwrites some OR code and the game doesn't handle it very well. Either grab version 6.5 from somewhere on the net and accept the risks, or ditch this mod and keep OR 7 until and if LogicDragon updates this.
Supierce, can you confirm this?? I just tested it with OR in existing saved game with the settings you mentioned in your post but I get CTDs while in loading screen. As soon as I remove the mod's files, saves are launching normally.
EDIT: Apologies, just noticed DragonSlayer667 post about combining OR and this mod. Thanks for the info
While looking thorough EC's source code, I found that it can already create a first person shadow. The ability is just disabled by default. If you want to enable first person shadow, just add this to a blank line somewhere in EC's INI file: bFirstPersonShadows=1
I have mentioned this to LogicDragon and hopefully he will add this missing INI setting to a future version of EC.
The mod itself is awesome... But I still got the problem with view on knocked state. Camera goes to the ground / foot lvl.. I can only move it further under the ground. Switching 3rd or 1st person doesnt work... It stays like that till character wakes up. Did anyone find the solution?
This did not work with the "current stable version" of OBSE(listed on the website), so I went to "Current Community Version" at the "XOBSE" site(github). Installing that manually with the files github fixed the issue with this mod. Hope that helps others experiencing issues.
You can open explore virtual folder and drop things in there, it's best to just create new mod then have the appropriate OBSE/Plugins folders then drop the files in there and you're golden also.
If you are playing the Game pass Version of the game and need OBSE, put the content of the file into the folder of your language, then open launcher_settings.cfg and change binary from oblivion launcher to obse_loader.exe and you should be good to go
I am not playing games nowadays but I remember the experimental camera setting in this mod is really good and this particular camera setting makes the 1st person gaming experience in oblivion extremely immersive except for some clipping issues. I think this is the reason why the author named it as "experimental". I found some tweaks to remove large part of the clipping issue but still not perfect. If and only if someone can find a perfect solution for this... :)
Edit 1: Most clipping issues in the "experimental" camera setting is coming from animations, especially "shield blocking" animations. Suggestion 1, make "shield meshes" smaller or adjust height of "shield meshes". Suggestion 2, adjust "shield blocking" animations so that most clipping issues can be removed. If and only if someone can do this...
Edit 2: "Two-handed blunt weapon" wielding animations also cause some clipping issues in "experimental" camera setting, which prevent immersion, especially "Volendrung wielding" animation. If and only if someone can do this...
You need to mess around with the camera location to get it to clip less. For example setting the fCameraPosY to 6-7 will stop the weapon clipping, but will make you see into your body when you look down. Then you should move the PosZ up, etc.
Set fNearDistance to 3 (or 1.0001 if you have DarnUI) under [Display] in your Oblivion.ini, in addition to editing fCameraPosY in OBSE_EnhancedCamera.ini. With DarnUI installed and the aforementioned Oblivion.ini setting, I can get away with 10.5 fCameraPosY with millimetric precision.
If you set fNearDistance in the Oblivion.ini too low or to zero, you'd incur a main menu display issue for the lettering where the box for the prompts disappears, but I reckon you'd have close to no clipping issues due to objects being too close to your camera while in-game. Can't be sure. If to you it is worthwhile, you can overlook this small issue altogether.
Been using this mod for months without issue. Now suddenly the camera starts freaking out when just moving forward in first person. I haven't installed anything new since this started, nor did I change any settings or INIs. It's just decided to not work anymore. Such a shame, because it's an excellent mod when it works.
So I am not sure if this mod is really responsible, but moving diagonally causes the camera to snap in that direction. I can't move diagonally while looking forward, is there a way to fix that? Because I don't see anything in the configuration for it. This will get super annoying in combat when trying to move around an enemy, and I have to look away from them to do it. It's annoying anyway, but even more so then.
I am NOT using Oblivion Reloaded and this mod is not working. I have made sure I've installed it in the appropriate folder OBLV>DATA>OBSE>PlUGINS Both DLL and INI are present yet when I log into the game, no go. I have successfully used this mod in the past which is why this is so confusing.

Granted its on the 6th page. But there's a solution.
