Ahh, I knew there was a reason why I downloaded this. Makes the game feel more varied and unique as it should've been for this particular instance, smallish as it is.
Seriously, why the count couldn't have sponsored for better and more stylized gear for his son's order in the first place, i'll never know, but this certainly does the trick.
I'm so happy that you like it, and that people are still using this.
If you decide to try upgrades for city guard armors, "Local Guard Features" by tbsk is probably the best out there. mixxa has created a Thorn Armor addon (based on these textures) for Local Guard Features which brings the look to another level.
Already one step ahead of ya on that. I'm going on a mod downloading spree to make my ultimate oblivion installation now that I've finally settled on a newer, more powerful machine.
Also got "Knights of the White Stallion, (the one with 1000+ endorsements)" and "Banes Guilds United." Essentially i'm going to revamp everything and make it feel new, yet meaningful at the same time.
Thanks for the recommendation though, Local Guard Features as far as I can tell from a short-lived past playthrough is very nice.
Sure would be. Too bad none of the dozen plus mods out there for that faction have a nice armor set.
I started piecing armor together years ago for KOTWS, but then never finished it as modding time got more and more restricted. Besides that, it was mostly bits and pieces of other people's work. Probably never would have gotten permissions to release it publicly.
There ARE animated capes, just search "Animated Capes" and you will find some, pretty nice. (For the author too haha!)
Also, on a more personal note, I love how the pauldrons match! That is why I never wore steel armor before (not even kidding ) And why I don't wear Ebony armor, but finally I can feel better
Yep I was always put off by the steel pauldrons as well, and those ugly pointy toed boots. Thanks for the nice comment and the tip on animated capes. If I ever get back around to updating this I'll look into re-working the cape.
could've gone with some other shield from modders resource, and there is no way to animate that cape in oblivion, but a welcome change for cheydinhal heir. This one's going str8 into tes gecko for merging with my armors.esp
excellent little mod here..I really like it. As much as I love Oblivion and Bethesda for making it..I dont like how some of the smaller details get left out (no faction uniforms, no unique models etc.)
The devil is in the details as the saying goes. Little things like this just break the immersion so much for me. Thank you for the kind words...it wasn't really a huge effort, but nice to see others find my little creations useful.
