nice work! looks so much better than the original, but seems it is not compatible with another animation mod "Womans Move" http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/33998/

I tried to install and activate both, no overwrite occur, but only the one at the bottom of load list will have effect. Is it possible to make both of them work?

It seems nuska's mod ESP is near identical to the one found in DMC_Stylish_2_1_Specialanims.

They are near identical byte size as well. Nuska's version appears to limit to idle. While I read in another mod that the DMC Stylish Special Anims ESP basically enable any animations in the \Meshes\Characters\_male\Specialanims! folder to be used for player only.

So in theory, you should disable nuska's ESP, and use the one from DMC so it uses any animations that are in the specialanims folder, not just the idle. And then put the mods in the correct order so you get the anims you want (or copy manually).

If you want to use both "Womans Move animations" and "Heroic Female Idle Replacer" as well as others-

INSTALL all desired animations to "specialanims" folder and

USE "Specicalanims.ESP" from "Pretty Woman Animation Replacer"

DMC_Stylish_2_1_specialanims.esp didn't work for me but Pretty woman did.

Yes it's possible to use both Womans Move Animations and Heroic Female Idle Replacer. Thanks to quake400...after multiple attempts to make both animations work together without success, I follow his recommendations and it worked for me. Just remember to delete "Women's Move - Animation Replacer.esp" from your Oblivion Data Folder and substitute it with (copy and paste) "Specialanims.esp" from Pretty Woman's Data Folder and that should work. You don't need anything else from Pretty Woman other than the esp to make your desire animations work. You will have to manually download the required files but it's just a matter of knowing what you want and copying and pasting. Remember to copy your original Oblivion Data Folder files to a new folder as a backup in case you don't like the results. Good luck!

Nuska, is there any chance you (or someone) could make a version of this same stance for the bowidle, staffidle, and onehandidle? Just renaming these files comes very close, but the hands don't fully grip the bow, staff, or onehanded weapon. I think that's the only change that would be needed. Thank you.

Looks a lot like the default Skyrim idle, anyone?

That's what I was thinking as well. It was added in 2013, so it's possible he/she got the idea from Skyrim.

It was just an easy conclusion to come to, tbh, made sense shifting the weight a little and bringing the elbows towards the body.

I have been finally able to use this idle just and only for selected NPCs, via CS, and works wonderful, no longer forces itself on my male PC. Moreover, the way I implemented it causes a little conflict with the vanilla idle, causing my Companion Character that uses this idle to randomly switch between both. The switch is so smooth and realistic-looking that it makes her to look and behave more "alive".

Just in love with Nuska's works!

    Cheers!

Any chance that you could upload it (with permission), or write up a brief tutorial? I use both male and female characters, and it would be nice not to have to switch the .esp off when I want to play as a male character. Thanks.

      Hey, Billyro!

Sadly, I don't know how to make this idle animation female-only for player characters. I can't even find where the CS stores the idle animations shown in the Animation tab of characters windows!

All I know is how to apply the idle to just selected NPCs of choice. I mean, making some NPCs, and just these, to use this idle, but not the Player Character if it's male.

To do so, just install the mod as instructed, but do not activate it in the launcher. Leave it inactive.

Now take the esp of the mod where the character is and backup it.

Then open Construction Set, load the mod where your chosen character is, but do not load the Nuska's esp. Just the target mod. Locate the character you want to use this idle, open its window, go to Animations tab, and scroll down until you find the three idles (idle, walkturnright and walturnleft).

You'll see that there are actually two of each. One ticked in red (the vanilla one) and one unticked (Nuska's). Tick Nuska's, hit OK and save the mod either directly or as a new mod (if you don't want to overwrite the original mod).

That's all. However, now this character has TWO idles with the same name active, so it will randomly take one or another. Mostly Nuska's, but the vanilla one will be present, too. I personally find it pleasant, because the random change gives more "life" to the character.

But no clue on how to make the idle working just for male players.

      Cheers!

    WHoa!

Thanks again, Nuska, I recently discovered (and am already terminally addicted to it) your Character Overhaul, and today, looking for more of your work, I found this.

It's gorgeously realistic and stylish. But what I like most of it, is that (since I can use the CS), I can choose the characters who will use this idle. So, my gal companions will really stand out from the crowd. As long as I have some screencaps, I'll toss them to you.

People like you make playing (and modding) TES a really wonderful experience. Since you gave us explicit permission to add this idle to our own mods and distribute them, perhaps in the near future I'll make a DELUXE EDITION of my CM Cethlenn justo to have her standing this wonderful way (actually she is already, in my game).

Right now I'm sneaking around in your Tumblr, searching for more cool things to stuff my game with. I've found so many that I don't know where to start!!

    Cheers!

EDIT (later): I just uploaded a quick pic of my girl Cethlenn (sorry, dudes, I mispelled her name in the caption, but you know who she is, don't you?).
EDIT 2 (couple days later): Hum, tested in-game and it DOES replace my male character idle.

Aside from adding manually to each female NPC in their NPC data animation list, no :[

It's a HGEC conversion of the DB armor with a quick tinting I did in 5 minutes with Photoshop.

The readme file says to drop it into the Skyrim folder, instead of the Oblivion folder. (Though I don't think many people actually read the readme )

Looks great! Far more natural looking than the vanilla.

Hahaha.. Slip of thought there. I had just come out of a full year of Skyrim modding.
