Are there any unstated requirements that the player must fulfill before Edgar sells this spell? I activated the mod but for some reason, Edgar does not appear to have it in his inventory of spells :O
You might already have a spell that is added to Edgar's list form another mod. I can only get him to sell one added spell, for some reason, & must choose which one I want most. Apparently Edgar's is not the best place to use to add a mod spell. I could be wrong, but I have had no luck adding any combination of spell mods to him & being able to buy more than one.
There are no unstated requirements for purchasing the spell other than the gold required. The spell should appear if you uncheck any other mod which adds a spell to Edgar's list, but if you check another spell later & uncheck this one so it will show, you loose the one you no longer have checked.
An NPC (and other objects) can only be edited by one .esp. Spell inventory* is a charateristic of the NPC object. The one later in the load order will be the one that takes effect. Higher tech solution is to merge the 2 .esps or use Wyre Bash to solve the conflict with the Bash Patch. Low tech solution is to buy one spell, then switch the load order so you can buy the other spell.
* note that for adding item inventories, the best solution is to a add an additional merchant chest to the cell (a cell can be modified by multiple .esps) with the new items.
This works very well and is well integrated into the game with nice magic effect. What is the point of having magic spells if they don't make things easier? I really enjoy this one. Unfortunately it blocks Edgar from selling the Incinerate corpse spell, which was useful for cleaning up my messes and gaining points. I have chosen this one, however, as more important to my game enjoyment. Thank you for sharing and improving my game enjoyment.
