this is the best blade of woe replacer ive seen, but for some reason it wont install for me - ive tried installing it through wrye bash, obmm & even tried manually but no matter what i do this mod just doesnt seem to run in my game and takes no effect at all. the closest i got to anything was when i merged the main replacer + patch files and then installed it through wrye bash but all it did was replace the menu icon for the blade, and nothing else. does anyone have any idea whats going on here and how to fix it?
nvm - turns out it was because i had weapon improvement mod merged into a bashed patch - removing that from the patch + merging this instead let this mod replace the blade of woe whilst keeping the other mod activated and working too
Hi! Do you mind explaining what tools that you used in order to patch this conflict? I have the same issue but didn't manage to find a solution so far! Thanks!
There's a big problem with dropping this weapon. The weapon drops sheathed and bounces all over the place, can the mesh be fixed for displaying without the sheath on the blade please? The weapon looks beautiful otherwise nice job with the mesh :)
I tried using this with a mod tht buffs the daggers damage but it seems the esp in this just straight overides the buff i want the model to not clash with tht if possible
While I respect your request, I would prefer not make the Crimson Eviscerator share the same model, to retain the uniqueness of the Blade of Woe. If anything, I would need to find and/or adapt another suitable model.
In the meantime, you are more than welcome to use my adaptation of Sinblood's model however you'd like, including making your own replacer (with credit to Sinblood mandatory, credit to myself preferably included as well, if you intend to release).
I hope you understand my reservations and thanks for the interest nonetheless.
Wow, what a lovely remodel. Truly worth a download, that's for sure! Great work. However, I have one question, what is the armor that your character is shown wearing in the screenshots? It would look great on a stealthy character, whether it'd be myself or my companion. Thank you for making this mod
Edit: You have to excuse me for being so stupid... A quick look at your profile and I found what I wanted. Sorry for bothering you with pointless questions
I have now added a revised plugin which rectifies this. I added it as an optional file, on the off chance that users may prefer to look at it as Striker879 did.
Now why didn't that occur to me ... wouldn't want every ebony dagger getting the new mesh. In reply to the issue Syrcanus raises, in a way it's kind of nice that the unenchanted versions don't get replaced. Makes the Listener's blade that much more exclusive.
I've uploaded a couple of screenshots taken in the Anvil DB Sanctuary (A Brotherhood Renewed by Arthmoor). Thanks for the mod Fiendish. ">
Dabbre, moreuse, Syrcanus: Thanks for the kind words!
Striker879: The .esp is required because the Blade of Woe does not use its own unique model by default, so a simple mesh swap will not work.
Aurasoma: Thanks! I had considered making an offhand model and I may still. If I do, I will update.
arkoudaki: Thanks for the endorsement! However, I don't plan on changing any stats or anything on basic principle. I also don't have any immediate thoughts on Sufferthorn, but I will take a look around and see what comes to mind.
and finally,
Everyone: Thanks again for using my mod and don't forget that screenshots are always welcome!
