I've been working at getting aerial combat into this game for months now. Then Itsbooby points me to this mod and here is the other half of the equation. My character not the only flying, aerial dominating character.
I am utterly blown away by the way creatures fly around so amazingly in this mod!! This is a work of art! I'm actually a little mad I never saw this mod before... wow, amazing! Great job! And thanks for allowing me to port this into my mods! I will credit and link to you
Amazing mod but now i find myself debating on whether or not to use it...on the one hand, its game-breaking issue free, and creates some amazing scenes and fights, and on the other hand, in dungeons, floating creatures -SOMETIMES- get trapped outside of the interior wall meshes, so you have to TCL to kill them or TFC and kill them in the console...its a minor issue for how cool of a mod it is, but ive grown tired of doing it, and also mages bursting into flight the moment combat starts, and people circling over your head in the air and spinning rapidly (looks a little strange). Seriously well done though, i recognize this engine can be tricky to work with and it has provided many many many fun fun FUN battles
Yes, turning off indoor flying would make this mod useable on a full playthrough, without glitches and fights being nulled due to having to kill with console on stuck imps etc. Besides, flying indoors is kind of redundant most of the time.
Flying enemies will chase you on land or in the air, the same as flying NPCs.
Which means they will tend to stay afloat as long as you do.
The exceptions are flying creatures in outdoors: those can launch into the airs as soon as they see you, and remain flying for a little while, thus the chance of killing an actually flying Imp, or having a Wraith come for you faster than you'd usually expect it.
It makes sense for a few creatures to launch and remain flying as long as the PC is nearby and they aren't killed. Flying creatures like Imps shouldn't have trouble flying for more than a few seconds. Let me think if this can be done.
Works fine, it's cool to see imps fly up high and shoot a spell or two at you. You also may try to hit 'em with an arrow in mid air, which is actually a lot of fun, especially with bow sway mod installed.
i am having trouble flying with the ring of flight but i can fly with the spells
You can try the latest version 0.7. Also you need to be sure of being using the right OBSE version (v20 or better).
Also remember to do a clean save before upgrading. Simply delete the mod and remove it from Oblivion's load list; then load Oblivion, any savegame and save your game again. This savegame will be then 'clean'. After that you can install the new mod version without trouble.
It would be cool to just have some enemies fly if they see you or any enemy; like imps, wraiths, etc. I don't need to fly myself, it would bring somewhat different feelings to overall combat style.
I have been thinking about your idea, and I'm working on implementing it. I should have an updated version soon.

Hidden gem for a unique install
I had some doubts about allowing indoor creatures to fly because of this issue, which seems to be rare albeit annoying too.
What can be possible to do is to have a way to switch that behavior off, if it annoys you.
Let me think about it and maybe I'll come with a fix.

Your followers can also show some initiative, if they are good at magic.
