I'm going to give this a try. What a clever idea. Once you thought of it, it seems so obvious it is hard to imagine it isn't part of vanilla. That is the sure sign of a good idea.

Can't do a stable that sells, since I suck at scripts as previously stated. And is it okay to use Slof's stuff? I went and looked but I didn't see anywhere that said I could use them for my own mod, so I didn't get them. Is it really fine?

Edit: Rechecked the site, and it does look like I can use the resources, thanks again!

    happy to help.

once you're done, if you're still in the mood, go to Slof's place (http://www.slofslair.co.uk), download base and extra mods, open them and see how to make a mod use external textures...

she is the absolute authority on horses, however her mods need a bit of adjustment on player's side (to add or remove saddle/saddlebags, choose gender, tweak color etc). that's why user-friendly horses are always welcome. maybe later you can make a stable selling various horses...

    ok i figured it out.
i opened the mod in TES4Edit.exe - apparently you left "HorsePCWeynonGoHome [PACK:0000CF43]" in the list of AI packages. so the horse returned to weynon priory stables immediately and i never saw it because of that.

i deleted that package in TES4Edit, loaded any game and - sure enough - the horse was right there in front of the sewer exit. just do that and you're done (lose the second horse). or, just in case, paste these two instead: HorsePCStay [PACK:0004ED7F], HorsePCStandStill [PACK:0008553B]

I used the vanilla black horse as the base for Jade since I'm stuck with only vanilla, and I thought that she looked cool. I'll try remaking the other horse though. As for what I did about her, I used one of the vanilla horses with the "stayput" in its ID. That is probably why she doesn't attack anything, if I remake Snowbird he will probably be the same, since I have no idea how to script.

since you care about this enough to read comments, i made a speedrun through tutorial sewers to see if a new char would have more luck. fugly purple horse was there. the other one was not.

i galloped around the island. it just isn't there. if it wandered as you say, it wandered fast and far.

btw, the second horse is butt-ugly. seriously. abandon that idea, make the first one (which i'm yet to see) wait outside like the second one does.

EDIT: i don't know what you did about the second horse (jade) but don't do it. it doesn't attack crabs and wolves, but curiously they completely ignore it too. just make it behave like any other horse.

He has a tendency to wander as I found out, he may just be lost. Try searching the area. I'll upload a different version later with a horse who will hopefully stay out.

Edit: Try downloading the Black Jade optional file that I added, it's not the same horse, this one is black with a white mane and tail.

no sight of the horse (found the note on the rock).

maybe the stable master mod messes things up but i love that mod and i'm not removing it ever...
(or maybe that mod has nothing to do with the missing regal horse)
