LATEST VERSION v2.0 AVAILABLE!

-- Introdution --
This mod adds several new staves to Oblivion that can be used in the off-hand and function in the same fashion as a Shield.

-- What this mod does --
Rindir sells the unenchanted versions of each staff, however, powerful enchanted ones are for sale from other vendors around Cyrodiil (and one hidden in the depths of an ancient Ayleid city).

Light Armour:
- Blue, Yellow, Red, Green and Purple Defensive Staves are and roughly equivilant to a Light Iron Shield
- Varla Defensive Staves are roughly equivilant to a Mithril Shield

Heavy Armour:
- Blue, Yellow, Red, Green and Purple Defenders are roughly equivilant to a Steel Shield
- Varla Defenders are roughly equivilant to a Dwarven Shield

-- Installation and Upgrading --
1. Unzip all files/folders into your Oblivion/Data directory, if asked to overwrite, select "Yes to all"
2. Activate "Defensive_staves.esp" mod in your data files.
3. Enjoy!

-- Uninstallation --
Delete the following folders, and the Defensive_staves.esp:
Oblivion/Data/Textures/Weapons/Custom/CustomStaves
Oblivion/Date/Textures/menus/icons/armor/defensivestaves
Oblivion/Data/Meshes/Armor/DefensiveStaves

-- Version History --
1.1 - Added Heavy Armour staves, labelled "Heavy Defenders" as an alternate choice. Special staves are also now varied as to either Heavy or Light armour. When unzipped, files should go to the correct directory, and all textures should be appearing now.
1.0 - Inital release

-- Additional note --
For extra fun, download and install Jannix's Spears, Polearms and Staves:
http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=389504&hl=staves

Purchase a staff from the "Miscellaneous" section of Rindir's Staffs of the same type as your Defensive Staff. Theses staves replace torches. Equip it in the "Misc" section of your inventory. When you sheath your weapon, your Staff will light up the area!

-- Compatability --
I added all items to unique chests for each vendor, so in theory there shouldn't be any compatability issues with other mods that change that vendor's inventory, but you never know.
