StarX555's No Blood mod
- with optional Companion Cube hanging corpse replacer -

---
What does this mod do?
---

This mod basically is like the No Blood Corpse mod by an anonymous TESNexus author, except it doesn't replace any meshes besides the Kvatch head-on-a-pike (replaced with a skull on a pike) on old versions. It also goes a step further in texture replacement and removes the blood dripping from the arena. Also included for the lulz is a fileset that will turn all the corpses hanging from rope into Companion Crates. Sorry, no portal guns, Oblivion's all out.

---
Installation
---

Unzip the texture and mesh folders into your Oblivion data folder. For the companion cube pack, also extract the texture and mesh folders from the Companion Cube pack folder into your Oblivion data folder.

---
Future updates
---

A Knights of the Nine patch that replaces Umaril's blood writing is possible, but doubtful; this is mostly because removing it would ruin immersion when NPCs say there's writing on the floor in blood. Also, don't expect any Shivering Isles support; the blood pool in one quest would require an actual ESP, which is WELL beyond what's truly necessary for the situation (it's water with a red texture filter, nothing more).

---
Incompatabilities
---

Aside from No Blood Corpse mod, there shouldn't be any. Though the companion cube pack will probably look REALLY out of place in most cases; hence why I stuffed it into a separate directory. Just remember to reinstall this mod if you install a high res texture pack; they may replace the necessary texture files.

Load order
---

Not applicable, it's a texture and mesh mod, nothing more.

Special Thanks
---

Bethesda, for making Oblivion and the Elder Scrolls series
Mario88 for his Companion Cube texture that I used for the Companion Crate
Valve for making Portal 1 and 2 and their memes
The guys who made NifSkope, XnShell, and Gimp; those 3 tools were invaluable for making this texture mod
The anonymous TESNexus member who uploaded No Blood Corpse Mod; I used his choices for dynamic blood decals and blood spray, as I doubt I could come up with anything better
The guys who made Oblivion Mod Manager; that BSA viewer is great for nabbing specific texture files, thanks :)

Changelog
---

1.0: Initial release
1.0.1: Made a booboo, turns out skulls have physics! With nothing else to replace them, I guess the piked head stays a head and not a skull. Otherwise identical.
1.1: Fixed the static blood stain textures; turns out the old ones were DTX1, which doesn't have transparency. Using Gimp I converted them to DTX3, so now they're completely invisible.
