This sounds real cool i saw it linked in the morroblivion title screen replacer ill be sure to do the quest as soon as i complete the thieves guild in cyrodiil.
I like the fact that it expands the Thieves Guild stuff, but what I dont like is it messed with my brightness settings (and certain areas affected by the mod went black), and now that I uninstalled it and loaded a gamesave without it, my in game clock is broken, permanently set to midnight. How do I fix this manually? EDIT: a very lucky google search turned up the solution to my problem with the game clock.
"set timescale to <qty>sets the speed of how fast time advances in-gameDefault value is 30. Setting the value to 1 will make time advance at the same rate as the real world. Setting value to negative will reverse time, but will turn the clock to negative values if allowed to past midnight. To fix glitches related to negative time, use the console command set gamehour to 0 Altering the value of timescale can cause bugs to occur during various quests (e.g., A Brush with Death, Where Spirits Have Lease). Resetting timescale to the default value of 30 fixes the bugs." (taken from uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Console#set_timescale)
So in summary, to fix this issue, open the console and type (without the ") "set gamehour to 0" press enter, then (again without the ") type "set timescale to 30" this fixed the bug with the clock for me.
Well, determination to finish this mod got the better of me and I found a way to "bypass" my loading error when trying to re-enter Kvatch at the beginning of the mod. Using the Midas Magic mod, I marked the room I had to return to, then teleported into it when I had that objective. I must say, excellent job sir/madam on the mod, now that I have managed to finish it
Evenstargw: Thanks! This was my first mod back in the day, improved over time, so it definitely was a learning experience. Thanks for the positive comments, and when you get to it, let me know what you think!
Balakirev: Haha, I know what you mean. I've had a friend suggest I change it to 'time,' but I liked Thyme as it fits with the quest... And I'd say freezing time is pretty cool, wouldn't you?
Heh. When it was labeled, "The Quest of Thyme," I figured it was like the Morrowind mage guild quests for the alchemist, all about finding thyme and other spices for special potions. Sounds interesting, though, providing the items don't give your character awesome abilities, etc.
Wow this seems like a lot of work to make, thank you for sharing this file. Right this moment I'm not playing the ThievesGuild, but I promiss that when I do I shall download this file and give it a try.
