Thanks for this awesome mod, PKR. I have wanted to play through this quest forever but I haven't had a chance until now. I loved the quest and rewards. For anyone reading this I highly recommend this mod but come prepared for tough fights.
Please try the solutions below. As I said, I'm not aware of any "big lava hole". As far as I remember, you couldn't really touch the lava, as I had used a very high damage multiplier, which results in almost insta-death when in contact with lava (unless you were playing on god mode). I need more details to be able to help you further - and only after you've trying the solutions already presented.
Probably what was wrong is I fell down the big lava hole without realizing it. I don't know. But the fact is, since then, I'd CTD whenever I'd try going into the realm of fire.
@kimict: the blood vortex was trouble, so it was eliminated from the game in the last versions of this mod. It shouldn't cause you any trouble, it's completely off. As for the "hole in the ground" thing: I'm not aware of anything like that, and I build the whole worldspace myself, bit by bit. I've tested the mod personally at least a hundred times and nothing like that happened... However, you never know, it's a Bethesda game (I'm playing Skyrim now and just had to skip a main quest stage, as I had a CTD with a 100% occurrence...). Try to restart it from a clean save (disable the mod, save, re-enable the mod, then reload the game); alternatively, you can try cleaning the savegame using Wrye's tools or something similar; also, you can try detecting conflicts using OBMM. Normally, there should be no conflicts with other mods, everything is new/renamed, but, as I said before, you never know... Please post here the results of your attempts. Eventually it will work! ;-)
Is there a hole in the ground somewhere in the realm of fire? While fighting the second batch of mobs, I fell through and died. Then I tried going back into the realm of fire. CTD every time. This happen to anyone?
If I can't get through the quest line, I'm tempted to put the armor set into the testing hall and just grab it. The sea of blood area was a pain to get through too. The questline looks epic, but the CTD problem is very disheartening. If you don't want me to put this stuff in the testing hall, but don't know how to fix the problem, then I'll just uninstall the mod and move on.
