Hi, Maigrets! I doubt you're checking these messages or that you even remember but just in case: did you make the dog armor or were they part of a resource pack? I love the armor and would like to armor up my own personal doggie follower.
EDIT: Nevermind! I realized they're a separate set of meshes in your file :) Though I am still curious if you made them yourself. I just saw that they're by Waalx.
I really Love this mod, they are my favorite dog mod out there, but i have a problem, they are always attacking horses and random people in the cities and sometimes when i need them in battle they yust follow me. How I can i fix this? is it because of the load order? Still a really great mod, i endorse this. (my first language is not english.) The people that they attack are not from the mithic dawn, i already defeated meheruns dagon.
I don't know why they are attacking horses or people in cities. There is no reason for that since they are set to Player Owned and the Player Faction which means they would only do that if you, the player had a bounty and guards or other NPC's were aggressive to you for some reason. In Chorrol there are NPC's who are members of the Mythic Dawn in disguise and they may cause this issue as they will attack the player if confronted.
Another reason could be due to Factions from other mods which I have no control over.If this problem was widespread I'm sure other people would have mentioned it. It doesn't happen to me and I have a LOT of mods including OOO, Waalx Animals and Creatures and Maskar's Overhaul running.
You could try moving them to the bottom of your load order so they should not be affected by other mods.If they are not attacking enemies as they should it could be because of AI overload, meaning you might have too many NPC's on screen at once and the Oblivion engine has trouble with that. I obviously don't know how many and what other mods you use
The only time I have seen that happen is in the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary and I advise to leave them outside if you are a member because the DB members have different Faction relationships to everyone else and other companion mods besides mine can also be affected by this.
To me they are only attacks guards in every city and also attack my other companion ... but ignore rats for some reason even if these creatures attack them...
Edit: solved their behaviors by reduce Aggression to 5 now they only attack enemies but attacking companion still exists....
Is it sad that I started playing in 2008, and just finished the main quest this year? Then again, in 2008 I was about 7 (13 now) so all I was concerned with was the horses
Hi Maigrets, I can't visit the site given in your readme normally. It says "The forum savageartistry.darkbb.com doesn't exist." But since you said, I'll change their follow distance myself in CS. I asked first in case there is a hidden setting or command or something in your mod. Thanks!
Well after load your mod in CS I found out why they(or more exactly, one of them) are so annoying. I think it's because you made a mistake and set the follow distance in MASpikeFollow package to 0.
@kubikiri, Follow my Creature Companion Tutorial to change the follow distance.Link in the Readme. I very rarely play TES games in 3rd person so it doesn't affect me, but I made sure they won't bump me from behind or get in the way of horses.
@ImperiaolCur The "dog" people are from Waalx Animalas and Creatures which is linked in my Readme. Also now available at TES Alliance. It's been so long since I played Oblivion I can't remember what they are called from memory, (Gnolls I think )but they are not NPC's, they are creatures.
