It took me a while to figure this out but the dead knight with the note to start the main quest is right next to a Wayshrine to Dibella a short distance south of Weynon Priory (map)
OK. I have done the "start from a ship". Worked fine once I figured out I was screwing up and not looking for the "All about me" book. Tried the start in Chorrol, again no issues. Also tried the start in Skingrad and ran into one or more problems. Created my character, went through the door for Skingrad. Somehow, I missed reading the book but I was able to leave the house and return to it, no problem. But... my character has no birth sign and no class, hence no major/minor skills and so unable to level up. No idea how she got out of the house without reading the book but there she is with no key (still able to enter the house) and ability to level up. It's still the first or second day so I could just delete her and start over - minor inconvenience. Question - is it possible to open the book then close the book without determining birth sign and class? And is there some way to use the console to get a new copy of the book so I can give her a birth sign and class?
I had to cheat and add the book and amulet through console, the body just didn´t spawn or despawned perhaps. A bit annoying to be honest. Otherwise i have no real issues with this mod
Hello, what are the console commands for adding the book and amulet please? I can coc testinghall for the amulet, but I have no idea for the book, I left my house in skingrad through an unlocked door and now I cant set my birthsign or anything lol
Does anyone know how to trigger the shivering isle? I have gone to prison as someone said below but it is locked and say I cannot enter under pain of death?
This mod removed the Imperial City Prison District for me and left a floating door without even the bridge to it. It did what it said it did, but that bug's too noticeable to keep it installed.
first off THANKYOU for making this an OMOD but why the hell do I need a key to get out of my own home? can't find it and thus can't EVER leave my house, any chance you can update this thing so people will never need keys to leave their own home???????????????????
Very cool mod. the dream sequence is extremely well made and lore friendly. Sadly, the same thing cannot be said about the note left on on you doorstep. The whole thing can only be described as a clusterfuck. Too much information is fed to you at once without the proper structure nor flow it should have. Also, the fact that a man would write a lenghty note while dying from a fatal wound seems kind of odd. Lastly, it might be a personal thing but homophone mistakes really bothers me. Its there, not their. Overrall, it is a very good mod despite my criticism. 8/10
I know it's five years later and you'll probably never see this... But I can't resist:
"Its there, not their"
It's "it's," not its. The least you could do when correcting someone is to not make the exact same mistake you're criticizing.
While we're at it, here are a few more:
Your "the" should be capitalized when it's the first word in a sentence It should be "your doorstep" not "you doorstep." Lengthy is the correct spelling, lenghty is incorrect. "...mistakes really bothers me" should be "...mistakes really bother me."
I might have found an issue. I cant get the shivering isles quest that opens the gate at niben bay, and its been a couple of days in Oblivion and still nothin.
