Hey! I just wanted to report that this mod as yet seems to be incompatible with Open Cities Classic and likely also Open Cities Reborn. That makes sense so I tried to create a patch in CS but they still didn't show up around the pond for some reason so for now I stick to spawning them with a command with the .esp active and that works just fine. Just as a note for Open Cities Classic/Reborn users who also can't live without cats. :)
If I tell these cats, Rosie, or your foxes to 'wait' inside my home, will they just hang around like a regular house pet to give my player some company? :)
Hello. I've got the mod installed and ticked, but the kitties aren't at the pond or anywhere near. I have "Better Cities" so I wonder if this is the problem. I even tried the spell "Bloodhunt" in case they were hiding. Any thoughts?
Is your game patched to the latest? If not, this would be the main reason for mods not working correctly as long as they were installed properly.
This mod was updated to fix the incompatibility with Better Cities so it will work correctly with BC and I haven't had other comments to say it doesn't.
I'm getting a weird glitch: Pepper seems to be permanently streaked with blood as if she's injured, and refscope says that her restore health ability is constantly running, but there was nothing in the vicinity that might have attacked her. This has happened across multiple savegames and multiple installs, always Pepper and only Pepper.
I'd like different names for the cats. How would I go about doing that?
Open the console with the ~ key, click the cat you want to rename, type setactorfullname Name, then enter. Use quotation marks if the name is more than one word, i.e. setactorfullname "Betty Boop". This works on all characters and animals.
This is one of my favorite mods. They are so pretty and follow nicely. I have taken them along on low level excursions with Docile animals mod. There are enough of them to station them in different homes, or in a mod city that cannot have Oblivion cats. They are a lot of fun and increase my enjoyment of the game. Thank you lots and lots for an excellent mod!
Ok, I am totally new to adding mods, this is actually the first mod I have ever tried, though I have played probably 100 hours of vanilla Oblivion, if you can believe that. I'm running Steam's Game of the Year version, so I have all the official plugins. I am using OBMM to load mods. I downloaded several, no major world-changers, just the Enchanted Druid Treehome, Pack Donkeys, Reznod's Mannequins, the Bank of Cyrodill, Jim the Arrow Maker, your Taimat the Fire Drake, and the house cats. When I had them all loaded and enabled, the game completely crashed within seconds of loading my saved game. I fiddled around with unchecking mods, and it still crashed after less than a minute. I unchecked EVERY mod except this one, thinking to try them one at a time. As soon as I loaded my game I got a message about a glowing scroll. I picked it up, read it (doesn't say much of anything, rather mysterious) and added it to my inventory. Then I fast travelled to Anvil but there are still no kitties! Now the game doesn't crash so far, but I can't find the kitties anywhere! Help please!
Well, I don't much about the steam version, but my suggestion would be to google installing mods with the steam version since I think the set up is a bit different, even with OBMM. The mod should run fine unless it was installed wrong.

Yes, they will wait there and wander around just like real house pets until you decide to take them away on your adventures.
They won't chew up your shoes or get into your house plants or anything though.
Thanks for using my companions.

I get to have my kitty play too.
I love you. :'D
