Hey Lucha, I just installed this mod as well as she-nord, she-breton, and she-redguard. I seem to be having trouble with their eyes. They seem to be wacked-out. I don't think I installed incorrectly, any thoughts?
Nevermind, I found out that I needed to deactivate Beautiful People OMOD in my Oblivion Mod Manager, and PRAISE THE LORD AND PASS THE AMMUNITION! It worked. Their eyes are normal now. So endorsing the above mentioned mods. Fantastische Arbeit. (Fantastic work.)
its really too bad that a mod author insists on making a mod user choose between their mod and someone else's, as In your solution about the wonky eyes and a conflict with mbp - in this case I think I will stick with mbp.
what I would like to know is why a mod author cannot see their way to allowing the use of vanilla eyes (or whatever) with their face model?
Alright, mine's fixed too! Thanks to Hickory, as well as geechan's Eye Pack info.
Any mod that alters the default Imperial eye meshes so that the emissive is white instead of black will cause the eyes to glow.
To check your meshes and fix them, this is what you do:
"Take a look in meshes\characters\imperial. If there are two nifs (eyelefthuman.nif and eyerighthuman.nif) then check them in NifSkope. Look under NiNode > NiTriStrips > NiMaterialProperty. Down at the bottom window you will see: Ambient Color Diffuse Color Specular Color Emissive Color Glossiness Alpha etc.
Check the Emissive Color. If it is set to #ffffff then that is your problem. By default, and to prevent the glowing, it should be set to #000000.
Click on the colour circle and a colour picker will pop up. Move the pointer to the bottom left of the center triangle (black) and press OK. Then 'File > Save As.. > Save over the top. Do it for both eye meshes."
Going by this information I checked my installation, and guess what? Cobl race resources overwrites the default Imperial eye meshes with meshes that point to vampire textures, and that have the emissive set to white (vanilla eyes' emissive is set to black). So I removed Cobl race resources and... problem solved! See new screenshot.
Edit: Sorry, I mis-spelled Cobl in the screen title. :p
AurianaValoria1, that's very strange. I can't imagine how alpha on the n-map-texture for face caused problems with eyes O_o And well, I use vanilla eyeballs, so these eyes must look just like vanilla and there must be no glowing x_x
Your new mini fix seemed to correct the issue in both the inventory window and outdoors, as long as HDR is not enabled.
Unfortunately, the problem still persists when indoors. Enabling bloom lighting did not help. Enabling HDR made it not work at all.
Thank you for your time and effort in trying to correct this. It is greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Hey, I found something! Have no idea what it means, but maybe it will help. On geechan's new eye pack, it says "If you have the emissive on your eyeballs set to white, they might glow like the dickens in shadows." Even without glowmaps. Will this help you out, Lucha?
Please download 'Mini update 2'!!!! Unpack and copy the file you find there in 'Oblivion/Data/Textures/Characters/Lucha'sSheImperial/Head and Body' and click OK to rewrite.
