Doesn't work for me. The effect doesn't show up at all. I haven't tested it on NPCs (I'm in a long dungeon with only undead enemies) but still, even if it worked on NPCs the fact that it's completely broken on other enemies makes it not useable.
I have tested all the Life Detect mods that I have found and this one is my favorite by far. It looks very natural, as if you were able to see the smell or the breath. It is bright enough to detect enemies properly, but subtle enough to stop being annoying, even if used permanently. You can see the faces of the NPCs while talking, and the bodies of the enemies in combat. And it even improved my FPS because the particle effect coming from my own body is no longer in front of my eyes acting as a filter.
THIS. The ES games are all brilliant, but sometimes their original concepts can be silly. Vampires in particular like to invis up before I get near them, and when there is a pile of them with the default LD, you can't even tell where one begins and the next ends. Brilliant, I'll be back to endorse. Thanks!
Endorsed. Very nice effect without going over the top. I still see blobs but I can actually see faces of characters. Blobs are OK - better than all those X-Rays and other fancy stuff. After all you detect only an alive creature in the distance, and you don't exactly know what it's wearing etc.
Yes, it's just like the original game effect except the little pink clouds fall towards the ground. So the effect will be brighter near the ground but still very visible. And there's enough of the effect above that you can still see the general shape just like the original.
