It's been a while, but I'm sure it works the same as Skyrim; simply make your edit to the texture, export it as a .DDS file into the Data\Textures directory in your Oblivion installation folder, open the mesh in Nifskope, redirect the texture path to the new texture, then direct the object in the Construction Set to the newly edited file which should be placed in the Data\Meshes folder...
yes, I know, and the shield status is weaker. but I realy enjoy your mods and just playing for the fun, lol. I wonder if you could transform your house mod in SI (My Cozy Hovel) in one quest mod with a lot of runing around SI, because it's a wonderfull world map with only a few quest mods, and a lot of space to explore.
I just have the original shield when I played the Chapter 2, and now I'm playing the Last Queen of the Ayleids, but for sure I'll play this mod after that. Or I'll try to run this two mods at the same time if there's no incompatibility with both.
I am guessing you have only downloaded the patch; the meshes and textures that make up the shield are in the original File, and the patch is to only replace the ESP, which makes the shield weaker...
That, or the mesh for the shield is in the wrong place...
Okay, after a lot of deliberation, I have decided that yes, the shield is a tad overpowered...
So, I have lowered the enchantment on the shield, both here and in the quest mod it comes from...
Simply download the "RainbowShield" file, and then replace the .esp from there with the "RainbowShield v2 PATCH" .esp for the weaker, more balanced shield...
