    I would like to know.
    How would I add my own dialog (correctly) in this ESP. I have been using it to make my TC but now that I want to add dialog I seem to always CTD. Whenever I ad a new topic my CS crahes.
    Anyone know why or can help me?

      My steps were. One: fresh install of Oblivion. Two: Construction Set v1.2. Three: OBSE (Loader, Steam Loader, Editor). Four: Construction Set Extender (receives updates to fix bugs and prevent crashes). I have had far less crashes using the Extender. You have to launch the Extender using Launch CSE.bat and have to set obse_loader.exe to have Administrator permissions. If you need to do voiced dialogue you have to switch back and forth to the normal Construction Set and the Construction Set Extender. To record a .wav use regular.

      NPCs need:

      • wav file used to generate lip file
      • a generated lip file
      • a converted wav file into mp3 file (https://online-audio-converter.com/ - Economy 64kps - 44100Khz. Need mp3 file to work!

      Dialogue not playing in game:

      • Try ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated mod - noticed this also in the Nehrim files.

      Later issue:
      Using this Blank ESP with Data, I have run into a issue. During voiced dialogue, my NPC is stuck in a drinking loop. They won't stop drinking during conversation. It is like they are really thirsty. I am looking for a fix. I think some animation idle properties were removed or something. I don't know what is causing it. It is like those skooma addicts who constantly drink a skooma potion whenever you talk to them.

      Can you tell me please why do you need to switch to normal C.S to do voiced dialogues?

      And what do I need to do with A.I.I?

    First, I wanted to say that this is a great thing, thank you so much. However, I seem to be missing all door data except for TestDoor, which mean that I'd need to import all the different doors. Is this just something I've done by accident or was this intentionally left out? Can anyone tell me how to import doors?

      I wish the authour would make another Blank ESP with Data but including assets such as the farm door.

    There is a bug. I have given a NPC voiced dialogue. Each time during dialogue, the NPC is stuck in a continuous drinking loop. The NPC won't stop drinking during dialogue. Anybody knows a fix?

    For anyone out there who bothers to look at this dusty download. I have asked the SureAI people how they got around the Oblivionloader when loading custom.esm/esp files.

    (For those who don't know they have made an awesome TC for oblivion called Nehrim, I wont link to another site from here but do a google search its worth it.)

    If they are kind enough to share their secrets I may update this with a BAT (or generic install program) file that can set up a "Blank install" of oblivion, a clean slate for modders who want to try their hand at a TC (I know this is getting old now but Rest assured I will do the same to Skyrim when it comes out, I did it for morrowind as well and no reason to stop now) This "Blank install" Will still require you to have Oblivion installed it will just organise all the resources needed into your own game directory.

    Bit premature as it relies on the Sure AI guys and gals giving me their "hidden secrets," I messed about with it for a few hours tonight with only marginal luck (Got the TES:CS working dedicated for the new install and the game booting just need to get it to register the custom file without being pointed to it with the OblivionLoader)

    Wish me luck if you think Oblivion still has some life in it, I think it does and the guys at Sure AI are proving it!

    EDIT: Ok figured out the dedicated install thing... its too simple to really bother doing anything but explain how... so that is what I have done in the description.

    Liking the mod, I've dl it and started twigging with it.

    I've added the containers and doors from Oblivion but I too am getting problems with the merge process. Also if I delete the Player entry and allow a new one to be created in its place the mod just won't start.

    If I cna get past this player problem then I'll re-release the mod with due credit, and hopefully with relevant SE data in there too

    Wow I had no idea people were still actively utilising this file. been stuck in university land for the last few years (honours PhD etc) so havent checked back in some time. glad to see people are using it.

    Ill check into the player entity issue Unclejack might take me a while as Other things in life are top priority now but ill look into it none the less.

    Ill look into dialog as well haloblivion (I had no troubles doing it myself but that was before vista and ill have another look see at the error file now that "windows borg" is everywhere.

    IndiaSevenSeven If you want to make a new esp open up the esm's/esp's you wish to use as a back bone but don't select any as active. Then when you are done modifying your work save as and it will save a new esp. In windows vista (read borg) they are not saved directly into the data file as the readme suggests but instead into a linked folder attached to your user account. go to the data folder and along the menu bar closest to the white space (bottom menu bar on the top block I think its also called the shortcut bar) there should be a button titled something like associated folder or something like that clicking it will take you to the associated user folder and there is your esp) to make a broken esp with the minimum of entities open the construction set then save the blank. note this blank wont work and requires some hex editing and some additional entities to get working, it should also be noted that when you are done with a TC the esp should be converted to an esm so that the whole thing is not loaded into memory on boot up (esm's are sequentially loaded when needed esp's are completely loaded on boot up thus sucking up more ram)

    ClockworkBomb the doors were intentionally left out the tools I used at the time of creating this didn't handle the door export from the oblivion data list well at all and kept crashing the esp (this problem may have been since fixed) you can uncompress the bsa holding the objects and import them manually as you need them. I may have a look around at the tools available and see if I cant put some doors back into it in another iteration.

    Update (yes it has been a while) : I may make a new one of these blanks for the GOTY edition of Oblivion with the up to date tools and maybe get doors to work as well as the shivering isles stuff and knights of the nine. (I did not own them at the time of this esp's creation and as such they could not be worked in)

    Glad to see the dream of a TC is still alive and well good luck all and ill get to work on ironing out these issues when I can... Also it only takes me about 4-8 days to work out the blank esp's for morrowind and oblivion so I hope to have a blank out for the next elder scroll game sooner to its release date instead of a year after when I'm bored... but I am rather lazy I admit that.

    it seems that it is impossible to merge this esp with any other esp or esm. Even if i just add an item with name 11111 and nothing else. I believe something is corrupted in this esp. I tried it with Tes4Gecko 2.2.0 and Oblivion's own Merger. Managed to find out why it was not possible to Merge the esp with anything else. It seems that your Player Entry has some invalid/weird data and gives errors. If you just delete it and remake a player entry it's fine!

    How do I make an ESP? I know how to make modifications in the construction set but not how to make ESPs. Is there something I'm missing?
