Can someone upload the vanilla skeleton.nif file please? I should have anticipated from my experience from Fallout New Vegas that skeleton replacements aren't worth the side effects. I didn't even want bouncing body parts, or wings, or hooves to begin with, this skeleton was a supposed "requirement" for some other mod (im just gonna not use the meshes that utilize that bouncing parts/edit them myself)
Listen, i know one of you has it. Come off of it will ya? Stop hoarding.
That is where a mod manager like Mod Organizer 2 comes in handy. Leaves the default Data folder alone. Then you can use MO2 to move the mods and esp around. Hide files in folders that are not needed. Disable mods without having to uninstall them. Very versatile mod manager.
Mod Organizer 2 is TERRIBLE for Oblivion it's a mess of multiple factors first you have to have install OBSE to get and tick forced game libraries on in the settings section for it to work and even after you do that it can't read OMODs so you end up getting a second Mod Manger to deal with them (Recommend TES Mod Manager it surpasses the old Oblivion Mod Manager) and even after doing that its system of Archive Invalidation is completely non-functional. Had to throw it out and do things the old fashioned way granted the first problem is probably only a Steam issue but all the rest I can't see being tied to Steal alone
Porque sencillamente los modders no usan un mismo sistema para modear... Todos aquellos mods adheridos con OMM y Wyre bash funcionana 10/10 pero los trabajas con uno que no y todo se va al garete.
are you serious ? i use mo since 2014 till now. and i was happy i did it! i love having full control over my mods, a clean game folder and fully separated mods. no uncontrollable and time consuming overwriting issues ever.
Notes to myself if one day I will need them: 1) Download Grollf (http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/37596/?) 2) Extract (and obviously put it into the right place) ONLY the skeleton.nif and the skeletonbeast.nif under Controlable Skeleton\data\meshes\characters\_male 3) Do not extract _1stperson because I don't need it. 4) Download 3rd person animations in 1st person view (http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/18617/?) 5) Extract it into\oblivion\data 6) Download this mod (http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/1407-lapf-enhanced-1st-person-skeleton/) 7) Sub ONLY the skeleton.nif from the mod at 6) with the current one inside the oblivion folder
What you want to end up with are:
> those two files in your Data\Meshes\Characters\_male\ folder > all of the '3rd person animations in 1st person view' animations in the Data\Meshes\Characters\_1stPerson\ folder > the new skeleton.nif (from my link) in the Data\Meshes\Characters\_1stPerson\ folder, replacing the skeleton.nif that comes with the '3rd person animations' mod.
I wish there were more instructions like this on nexusmods - clear, informative, and practical. One thing is I'd like to know why exactly do you mix skeletons from these various mods. Is it because there are glitches if you use only one of them?
I extracted only the male mesh from this, but LAPF overwrites all of it. The lapf install instructions said it would only partially overwrite it. So confused.
Thank you very much for those instructions. I've been trying to play Oblivion for a month now, but I kept broking my game with obsolete instructions and irreversible changes....
Hello. Sorry fjr my english. I have a problem with this mod, When I kill an enemy, his weapon after death hangs in the air above it, and it can not be picked up. It's easier to show a picture. http://uploads.ru/ez4Yq.jpg
Be careful installing this mod, almost ruin my game, my camera went 2x taller and i notice my character was floating when i type tfc in command. but i manage to fix it with this mod. https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/51275?tab=description ...if ur having camera problem because of this mod, you should try this. i was worried reinstalling oblivion with hundreds of installed mods, glad it fixed it.
