    Absolutely underrated mod, I got this just because I wanted to find a creepy/scary/horror mod, got this one just from the screenshots, realized it's not what I thought...But no regrets, it was incredibly fun!

    I especially love how the castle itself looks, the small additions like the Courtyard's Old Shop and Homes, it's just great!

    EDIT: I've taken a look of this esp with TES4Edit, there's a lot of unused content, damn! Last update is 2016, maybe we'll get a miracle and montybrad gets the will to do an update for this mod, it would be fantastic.

    Anvil I found a ship with two overlapping wharf docks in front Lel's Store. I disabled the the crooked dock, was this the Nostromo?

    This place is ridiculously huge, and I'm impressed. I expected to go dungeon delving for a half hour or so, but here I am, still trying to work my way through the many ladders, doors, and entryways of the isle, with new discoveries being found. I'm not exactly sure if this thing has an end goal, but I did come across a certain tower that is locked by key, so that might be something I need to check out.

    As it stands, this is an impressive piece of modding architecture. Magnificently done, bud.

      Thanks Daniel, much appreciated The locked tower (assuming im thinking of the same one) is locked off and inaccessible because it doesnt lead anywhere and i felt it wasnt worth loading into. There are a few areas that are locked that require a key that doesnt exist: test areas and incomplete sections. The end goal: theres a cluster of mysterious towers that can only be reached in the mirror dimension (the lava levels) and a group of necromancers there that are fooling with powers they dont understand. Theres no way to undo what theyve started but you can stop them before things get really out of hand.

    Version 1.8 is out now!!

    The Nostromo has been moved to eliminate a conflict with Better Cities.

    The castle exteriors have been reworked to minimize pop up and increase immersion.

    More details on this version later...

    This will be part of Dungeons of Tamriel 1.1 soon...

      Sorry for bothering you but what is the file in the "__MACOSX"-folder supposed to be?

      No bother at all. its trash, just throw it away. I compressed the file on a Macintosh computer and that folder is an unintended extra so dont worry you dont need it ;-)

      taepal77 try downloading it again. I downloaded it twice and it worked for me.

      Ignore the Mac OSX folders, their extra junk.

      Weird! Sorry for the trouble... im not sure what the cause is. I downloaded it again to check, uncompressed and everything worked fine. ill figure something out.

      I confirm taepal's concerns. I can't open it either. Both WinRar and 7zip say the package is corrupted.
      Perhaps you could try to repack it? Please.

      I extracted without problem but CTD.. sorry.
      Edit : I don't know why but I disabled Armory Arcane and now it works fine... Thank you, I'm gonna explore all that.

    Version 1.7 is out now!! This is a pretty big update, more than 300 hours in the making and almost every area has been improved.

      Congrats! I'm downloading, but with the amount of work I've got on my hands lately I'm not sure when I'll be able to actually go there...

      Yes, I'm still in the planning stage for version 1.7 of Handrest Isle. Version 1.6 is included in the Dungeons of Tamriel mod as Maczopikczo mentioned

    Mine had a glitch, in the fort/thing underground through the big hole of floors it was really gray and see through on some sides and i found a weird ship wreck area that, from what I can see, looks like a place were you were just testing things in, and I cant find the wizards lair, I found some Skeletons right before the fort/thing but no castle with lava. Any ideas why?


    Thanks LordLiam98 <img class="> That is a test area, the door ( that has no wall behind it ) that you took to get there, well if you walk past that door you see some platforms that lead to another door to another test area, which is a cooler looking Cave Harbor. There are actually a number of areas that I was still developing before I just completely burned myself on Oblivion. I left them in so players could discover them, almost like easter eggs, but mainly because I released it as a beta due to burnout but there are still plenty of things that I do want to work on and complete the whole thing. Btw all those interior cells you took to get there are the very first idea's, a lot of the other interiors were based on what I liked about those area's.

    Castle with lava ---Spoiler--- take the sewer entrance thats right next to the road to the main castle, theres also two test entrances: one is by Handrest Docks the other is behind the North House. ---End Spoiler---
    If your seeing skeletons standing on rocks surrounded by lava you should be seeing the castle PM me ok

      I was actually looking for the test entrance that you said was by Handrest Docks as I'm interested in checking it out!And by the way, is the Handrest Dock the one that has the ship that's inside a cave that you come to when first coming off the ship? If it is, I couldn't find any door or grate that leads to such test place unless I was overlooking.

      I misread that...
      This is about a older version: The test door that leads to the demo of Cave Harbor is gone and so is Handrest Docks. You now arrive at Handrest inside Cave Harbor, the complete and polished version of the original demo. The Handrest Docks exterior cell has been re purposed and no longer exists... I never liked it, so i replaced it. The Handrest Docks had a test door to the Creepy Handrest Castle: that door has been moved into the castle... theres a locked door to a Stairwell, that stairwell has an Oblivion gate inside. This door isnt a test door though, its just there for convenient travel.

      There arent any test doors in the current version... mostly
