From Dusk till Dawn 1.1

This little plugin allows you to fully customize the duration of the day and night in oblivion.
Many players opt for simply lowering their time scale to settings ridiculously low so they can fit all their activities in the day (or night if you are a vampire).
But that may not be the best approach. It is a beautiful thing to watch the natural flow of the time and it provides a great sense of accomplishment when you see the progression of day and night. Not to mention it greatly improves immersion and realism.
Some quests require time to pass and is so good when you can actually spend that time in a natural way doing your usual adventuring and before you know its already time to continue the quest as opposed to finish everything you have to do in less than 4 game hours and having to wait or sleep a week in order to progress on that quest.

The plugin offers a great deal of customization, you can:
  • Establish your own custom dusk-dawn times, setting any value you want.
  • You can assign custom sunrise-sunset times to different months of the year, simulating a seasonal change.
  • If you prefer a little randomness and variety, you can use minimum and maximum ranges from which different sunrise-sunset hours will be chosen.
  • It is possible to create bizarre and whimsical climates, where the sunrises last all day long and nights are permanent sunsets( like Camoran's Paradise ). Or perhaps create an almost permanent day where night lasts brief moments.

How it works.

All the changes are done by a short, simple script, that means you have great deal of customization, but it also means your changes will not be saved.
The bad thing about it is that when you restart the game the script will have to reset the values you specified and if you are in an exterior you will notice a brief but abrupt change in the day/night illumination as the plugin resets your settings. This will only occur the first time the game is loaded, subsequent save loads will be flawless.

Customize away.
To start using it you will want to take a look at the included configuration file and set your desired values. The mod uses my current setings by default. (Balanced day/night duration)

Requirements:
  • Oblivion 1.2406
  • OBSE 20
  • If you'd like to specify seasonal dusk-dawn times, you need to have the latest Pluggy version

Installation:
Extract the file into your oblivion directory and activate the .esp. Settings can be specified in the ini file. To uninstall simply deactivate the esp.
To use the seasonal settings you neeed to put the fdd_s.ini in the Pluggy\ user files folder. If you don't have it, then you have to create it.
C:\....\...\My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Pluggy\User Files\

Compatibility:
This should be compatible with any mod you use.

Changelog 1.1:
Changed the way the climate was updated to reflect the customized changes when in exteriors. Player is no longer transported to an interior cell. The transition is now almost seamless.

Credits:
I would like to specially thank Arthmor and his fantastic mod All Natural, which I personally use and it's the sole culprit of the creation of this mod. All Natural is a vampire's nightmare since it alters the climates so the sun rises at 5:00 AM and sets at 9:30 PM !!
