How about a spell where you threw "dancing lights" in an area and it distracted other characters, or just to look pretty

I've been using this mod for a couple weeks and it's very nice. Vanilla illusion was pretty much a one-trick deal, so it's nice to see some new possibilities.

There's a pretty serious bug though in the highwayman script. If I try to fool him and my skill isn't high enough, I get a permanent, irreversible 100-point damage to my fatigue. It's very repeatable. Waiting/resting/potions/altars/wayshrines never fix the problem, so I'm assuming there's a modAV command buried in the script. Not sure if it's deliberate, but it's very annoying and there's no fix for it.

Also, something in the readme should state that this mod changes illusion to level intelligence instead of personality. It's like 2 seconds to tweak in the construction set if you don't like it. But tracking down changes you don't know about is a pain.

Otherwise, a very enjoyable mod so far. Nice job.

Illusionary Crime keeps crashing my game.

do you have mods that alter the crime handleing? or are you using it on an essensial, quest or heavily scripted NPC? if so these are probably the culprit as its doesnt crash mine or a few other people i asked. try it on beggar and see if that works. or move the mod near the bottom of your load order. its not very intrusive as far as settings go and shouldn't override anyother mods but putting it near the bottom of the load order should help.

i am just giving you a quick thought what if you[ if u have played si youve already seen it] but what if u made a spell to port the actor out side of their body so they see their body die i would add a better ghost mesh too

Oh and i almost forgot if you get ambushed by a highwayman and your Illusion skill is at or above 70 you can fool them into thinking you already paid them (Like a jedi mind trick)

What about applying this to innkeepers? But in this case I think new limits should be applied; a guard will not overlook you are fooling the host...

    Other possibility: for skill trainers.

And why not invert the effect for highwayman just for fun? Instead of making them think you have paid, you could force them to pay you.

PD: Take a look at this mod:

    About stars2heaven's message:

Notice that it's not really necessary add these type of changes (faction lists, or other complicated scripts) due to other mods are able to do exactly that according to the clothes you use.

At least in standard situations, just by creating and using a spell which gives you 'x' clothes will be enough if using other specific mods. This way the compatibility is assure.

Alternatively your suggestion can be used too; spell which adds you to 'x' faction could work temporarily.
(even both could be added to assure compatibility and still have the possibility to use the standard one)

Other possibility which should work in all the situations: Mmulti-target spell on-self.
When the player uses it any NPC which is able to see the player will set their disposition as friend or neutral. (possible with standard scripting: detection ratio and predisposition towards the player)
The more NPCs are able to detect the player, the more Magicka the spell uses. And the spell should spend magicka while the spell is active.

(there are a few mods in this web which uses scripts based in distance you can use as example)

PD: The 3rd spell I suggested you -if someone doesn't find it useful- will add the possibility to the player to kill NPCs with poisoned food or drink, apart from other things...
