I must admit that I would have preferred a level between original game and what this mod gives. But will still give an endorsement since it does indeed reduce FPS as promised, and that at a nice level. So I am currently using this mod adding up to 10 extra fps

This was one of the first mods I ever got, and I'll always remember how much more enjoyable it made Oblivion for me, playing outdoors.
Really helps those with lower end pc to get better FPS outdoors.
