Quick, easy, and effective. This little fix allowed me to turn up some of my other graphics and let me tweak the .ini file for some more performance and graphics increases. Thanks a bunch!
Since I use obse, I found that using CFF Explorer on both the Oblivion.exe and obse_loader.exe did the trick.
I have four companions with my player character outside in Bravil. Before using CFF, there was a bit of lag just moving the mouse around. Now after using CFF to edit the exe files, there is definitely a lot less lag in-game. Sorry, I don't have any FPS numbers to share, however the change is noticeable.

worked perfectly Oblivion runs far smoother than ever before
thanks alot
Surprisingly, even some of my friends that are veteran users were unaware of this exe as well as MS functionality.
Maybe a newly re-uploaded file with a slightly different name may help remind the masses, maybe...

Anyone knows if this program and having 8Gb will see any difference? or is it only for 4Gb users?

Recently built a new i7-based rig and enabling LAA allows my heavily-modded Oblivion to use more of my 12gb Dominator GT DDR3, hehe.
Thanks a lot for this.
