something I discovered, and which has ruined a character uninstalling this mod while suffering the stealth penalties from armor, PERMANENTLY reduces your stealth skill
This cannot to my knowledge even be fixed through command console, or reinstalling the mod, only by reloading saves, and no save exists that far back for my character.
There is a problem if you load this mod in TES4Edit and run the error check. It contains 3 errors, which were found under the spells section I believe.
I noticed this too, it looks like the script effect meant to boost sneak attack damage is missing, so I don't think the assassination abilities actually do anything.
I like redux version more than original because redux version replace only stealth system unlike original what replace stealth system and add many things what i'll never use.
Finally, a cooler stealth system! Not sure if this may function with my other mods, but I'd still hit it. IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. Anyway, great job, man.
I imagine this redux still uses modAV/modAV2 to modify stealth? It would be nice to use safer methods instead, that have no risk of bad interactions with other mods or of leftover stat modifications in the savegame. Kuertee has a bunch of tricks for that including invisible unplayable enchanted clothing, you should ask him about it.
Thank you for stripping down this mod, I also liked the idea behind the original stealth overhaul but felt that it was implemented too clunky and obtrusively.
I see you can also disable the assassination power in the ini! Nice. I didn't like that power because it's not very immersive (you just magically get better at stabbing unaware people for a half minute? how?). It would be nice if you could instead integrate it directly into gameplay in a realistic way though ... maybe you only get the assassination bonus against helpless npcs? At journeyman level you start doing double sneak attack damage against sleeping npcs, at expert you can assassinate paralyzed or collapsed npcs, at master level you always get it as long as the npc isn't alerted or looking for you (would work well with Fresh kills alert the NPCs mod) . Or something like that.
Is there really much difference between this version and the Cobl version?
That author looks to have just put the options in-game instead of having to go outside the game with an ini file.
That Proximity Based Sneak Penalties mod would have been nice but people say the sneak drain messes with Realistic Leveling and possibly other leveling mods, although I have used it with nGCD + Progress (at x5 mult) with no apparent issue. I don't know if the x5 mult delays the leveling boost bug people say they have with RL/other leveling mods. I did have an issue though after I uninstalled PBSP, possibly in a wrong way by not doing a proper uninstall and/or clean save. I found I had like 2k or more % sneak and got two boosts in sneaking a short distance so I had to redo the uninstall and go back a couple saves.

Hope there's a fix.

Anyway, a great update to a great mod.

Edit:
Stratch that, my own mistake, magical sneak does still function.
