Concerning the EXE file... If you use 7zip, all you have to do is right click and drag on the EXE file and pick Unzip Here in your right-click context menu, to unzip to a folder named after the mod, then you can either Zip it up, or just manually install, you DO NOT have to run it as an EXE to unzip it.
im new at modding but i placed this mod where it was to go n as i went looking for the bank i noticed the sign was a big yellow pizza box shape w a (!) point on it n the sign inside the bank was the same way... can u plz fix... ty...
This mod was created 15 years ago, and the last update was over 13 years back. Do you really think there will be an update? It's part of Better Cities. You can get it working correctly by downloading that huge mod.
This probably happened because you followed the readme and directly placed the files into your game's data folder using the auto-extractor. Bad idea.
Extract to a separate folder, then add the ESP, textures, Meshes & Sounds files to an archive and install with Wrye Bash or MO2. If you extract directly to data your mod organiser won't be able to keep track of the installation and things can get very confusing very quickly.
Just posting here for others because the installation procedure for this mod is very unusual.
using this through better cities so I cannot be sure if it's an error with this mod or that compilation, but in the imperial city when I go into the storage area to mess with my storage chest, I get yelled at by the guard that I don't belong there. if i were to get a bounty i'd console command it but it's inconvenient and immersion breaking

That's what the .exe file is; it's the self-extracting file. When you click the exe it just asks you where to extract the files to, then puts them where you specify. Making self extracting files is actually a built in function in 7-Zip. Now, why did Zarkis think a self extracting zip was such a great idea? ...who knows, but back in '06-'08 everyone and their dog didn't have 7-Zip installed to extract 7z files; having it self-extract would've been quite convenient in such cases....so maybe that's why. (in fact back then, most people still used winrar & thought it was the sheep's tits...Yes! I know! It was truly the dark ages I tell you!)
I often visit the deposit box and use it as a storage until I get a house, but the guard in the vault arrests me after several visits, even though I'm allowed to be down there. What can I do to fix this?
This would have been a very dumb question in real life but i'll give you a pass for this time. As the information in the description suggests, you put your money in and while it's in there it's going to start generating interest after a time.
Besides if you use an immersion mod that makes gold actually weigh something, you soon see the benefit of depositing it in one city and withdrawing in another, even though it comes at a cost.
