About this mod
This mod changes Oblivion\'s magic system in a way it should be. Magic should be fast and deadly, convenient and interesting. This mod allows you to get fun from playing a Mage.

Is it normal when you need to cast 4-10 spells to kill an enemy of equal level and after that you have no enough magicka even for one more creature's kill? Thus lightnings fly so slowly, as if they are metal pieces. And after all you still need to heal yourself, increase defence, to shine caves and many other things. In vanilla oblivion it is necessary magicians hard, and even at high levels it's impossible to use of top destruction spells because your magicka amount enought only for 3-4 casts.
This mod changes Oblivion's magic system in a way it should be.
Magic should be fast and deadly, convenient and interesting. This mod allows you to get fun from playing a Mage.
Thus mod doesn't add one-hit-kill spells, you will not get infinity Magicka or immortality. You just have possibility to play pure-Mage, which now has bonuses, corresponding to its style of fight.
Below you can read about basic changes for the moment:
* Decreases MP consumption for Destruction spells, some Restoration spells and Open Lock spells.
* Increases your amount of MP for each level.
* Increases magicka regeneration rate if your wear a robe (or any clothes w/o AR).
* Increases speed of most spells.
* When you increase Intelligence, you MP consumption for spell is decrease.
* Added magic critical hits. Chance of critical hit based on you Luck, power of attack based on your Destruction.
* Amount of creatures that you can summon now depends on your Level, Willpower and Conjuration.
* Some race changes :
High Elf: +10 Willpower, + 150 MP (total +250 MP).
Breton: +75 MP (total +125 MP).
Dark Elf: +10 Willpower, + 50 MP.
* Changes in birthsigns for mages:
The Apprentice: +300 MP (total +400 MP), Conjuration +10.
Mage: +150 MP (total +200 MP), Willpower +10.
The Atronach: +600 MP (total +750 MP), spell absorbation +25 (total 75), Mysticism and Destruction +15.
* Changes level's for Open Lock spells:
Very Easy and Easy - Novice, Average - Apprentice, Hard - Journeyman.
* Better stats for Magic Guild rewards.
* Much better stats for Bloodworm Helm and Necromancer Necklace for those who dont want to finish guild.
* Better stats for some staves and robes.
* Increased Restoration training speed.
* MP consumption lesser when wearing robe, but greater when wearing light/heavy armor.
Someone can say that it's cheat and it's making game unbalanced. But just try to play pure mage on high levels or on high difficulty, and you'll understand me.
I will try to update this mod and fix bugs, so please write me if you discover a bug or if you have any ideas for make this mod better.
Requirements: Oblivion v1.2.0.416 and Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE) 0017+
Installation: unzip BetterMagic.esp into your Oblivion\Data folder.
Compability: Can conflict with other mods that changes magic system of oblivion. Better Magic work fine with many mods such as MMM, OOO, Francesco.
Special information: this mod made with russian version of Oblivion, so there can be some non-english words. If you found it please write me.
