In my case this mod mostly works, but it doesn't recolour the gauntlets and boots. It recolours all the weapons, as well as helmets, greaves and cuirasses, but not gauntlets or boots. Not sure why it's doing this.

This mods pretty broken, but here's a fix that will let you use this mod great textures on any glass armour replacer, delete the esp and delete the meshes, you don't need either of them.
Now go into the texture folder, you'll see -
WeapoDL - Rename to Weapons
menus - Go into menus then icons and you'll see a Dark Glass Armour folder, go into that cut the weapons and armour folders and then go back out of the Dark Glass Armor folder and back into the Icons folder, then paste those two files in the Icons folder - So it's Menus > Icons > Dark Glass Armor > Cut Weapons & Armor > Back out from Dark Glass Armor, paste the cut files into the Icons Folder and then delete the Dark Glass Armor folder
How can I make this mod work in conjunction with Zu the Skunk's Female Glass Cuirass Replacer? Is it even possible? I loved the color on this mod but I dislike the vanilla cuirass quite a bit
Dasim4, the reason this mod does not work on previously enchanted glass equipment is because equipment you enchant yourself actually becomes an entirely new type of equipment, with its own database entries for meshes. This mod modifies all of the stock glass equipment to use new meshes and textures, but it does not know about any equipment you may have enchanted in your game. So, your previously enchanted stuff will not be changed. This is a weakness of using the .esp approach.
If you want these textures to apply to all glass items instead of just the stock ones in the game, you can install the textures from this mod into the "textures" folder in your "Data" folder. Install the files that are in the "WeapDL" folder into the "textures/Weapons/" folder, and the files and subfolders that are in the "armDL/glass" folder into the "textures/armor/glass" folder.
If you do this, any and all glass equipment will use the new textures, and you won't need an esp to make them work.
Exactly. Highly deprecated the .esp approach.... another side-effect is that Unofficial Oblivion Patch Supplementals (A MUST-HAVE PATCH EVERYBODY MUST USE!) will replace some buggy .nif, not fixed in the original and this version. Highly deprecated. ;(
As you say the best thing is to replace just the textures.
Thank you, everything works fine except for the icons. I tried installing them to what seems like the default path (\textures\menus\icons\weapons and \textures\menus\icons\armor\glass) but the vanilla icons still take precedence (I have archiveinvalidation set); will continue experimenting with it.
EDIT: figured it out - needed to use menus80 folder instead of menus in the aforementioned paths. The icons now work - they're slightly off-centre, but other than that everything's fine. It's completely possible to use this mod as standalone esp-less texture replacer.
People who have problems with the gauntlets (or anything else) remaining the same vanilla bright green, should place this mod last in their load order.
Worked for me. I think I had to completely separate it from the Bash Patch and then drag it to the bottom after BOSSing. Edit: Happy birthday previous post ha ha

Just to reiterate for anyone else, after you follow zageles' instructions, what you should be left with is this folder structure:
-textures
--Armor
--Weapons
--menus
---icons
----Armor
----Weapons

Highly suggested also ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated (and don't miss the hint in the comments section!).

Cheers and beers, plenty!
