Hmm the turn delay doesn't seem to do anything. I tried upping it to 2 sec, 5 sec, even 60(lol). But the enemy still homed in on me like a compass towards a magnet :/
I am really interested in this mod, but the one thing throws me off is enemies not being able to turn as fast as I would, it seems like a handicap for me. Let's say if I were able to change the TurnDelay in the .ini would I be able to remove that? If so this might be a perfect mod for me!
Added a new version that should reduce the frequency of the "freeze on knockdown" bug. I still haven't figured out how to completely get rid of it though.
FYI, I recently released a mod called Double-Tap Dodge. It should fix the problem where you can't dodge while you're facing a bad guy. As far as I know, this is some kind of inherent problem with the vanilla dodge system. You can't dodge when you're facing other obstacles too like walls.
@sp0tty, I have the same exact dodge problem and it is driving me crazy! I use FCOM (mart's monster mod, francesco's, and oblivion overhaul) to name a few. Are we using any mods in common?
Sorry for the extremely late reply, sp0tty. I took a long break from modding.
To answer your question: this mod changes nothing to the vanilla dodge system. I personally find the vanilla dodge stuff to be unreliable, particularly when there's something (npc, wall, etc.) that is directly in front of me. I do plan on fixing this problem in an update to this mod, but I do not have any release date in mind yet.
It works just as advertised. I think it makes combat more interesting, and realistic at the same time. You can't just wildly swing a sword in front of you hoping it would hit something. You have to aim properly.
@sp0tty: That's definitely a problem with another mod you have. Vanilla doesn't do that, and even my heavily-modded Oblivion doesn't have that problem either. Try to find what mods you have that tweak the camera settings, because this mod in particular doesn't do anything to the camera.
I dunno if vanilla oblivion always does this, or if its due to my mods, but I can never dodge when my "cursor" is over an enemy- i have to swing my camera to point away from them before dodging. does this mod do anything to help that?
