I finally saved up enough gold to buy this castle. It's definitely impressive, with a lot of attention to detail and very few 'glitches', so I respectfully give it my endorsement, but for several reasons I continued with my previous save rather than retain ownership of this castle.
The owner's quarters are nothing special, simply a cut & paste of the grandest vanilla house (that I know of, haven't played the DLC yet) with minor renovations. It also lacks some of the features of much smaller and easier to acquire manor mods, plus according to the description doesn't have any safe storage containers (I didn't test-own it long enough to find out for sure). For the high purchase cost, I would expect the owner's personal quarters to be something befitting (at least one step above most of the lower purchase price castle mods and a few steps above anything in the vanilla game), such as the two buildings connected to it on both sides to also be part of the owner's personal quarters, which would have allowed more rooms and features to be added. The only safe storage is in the vault (again, according to the description), which is also nothing befitting the price compared to the other castle/manor mods I've tried, and it's inconveniently located far from the owner's quarters, requiring some confusing navigating to go to and return from. Then there's the extra rooms and halls that are (from what I can tell) decoration only, with no actual usefulness. Lots of walking distance and lots of doors with no (apparent) value for the time and cost to buy and explore the castle. Oh, and my PC (i7 at 4+ ghz, good vid-card & plenty of RAM) had fps drops in the main hall, making it one of the few places in my fairly heavily-modded game that I notice a fps drop.
I appreciate the work it must have taken to make this mod, the author clearly has skill and imagination, it's just not what I prefer.
A nice castle but all the chests reset if you don't return within 3 days! Extremely annoying since I had a lot of good things in the chests and now it's all gone...
Did you store stuff in containers in the vault or only other places? I'm curious because in the description for this mod it's stated:
"The containers in the vault are set to non-respawnable, so it is safe to store objects inside them. DO NOT store objects in any other container inside the castle."
Very nice castle. Lots of room, and looks great. Had a problem with the main stairwell. when i loaded it in manually, It had the whole yellow diamond with Exclamations going on. So i OMOD'd the file i wanted to use,(The Niben Bay),and it worked just fine. Probably my fault, it messed up in the first place. Ive noticed that sometimes mods tend to act up when dealing with Windows 10. Great work.
people people hear me i have splendid news i just found the most badass castle there has ever been @neferet the lord's quarters are found using the stairs i thought the top floor but could also be a little lower and its not a noob question it is just a big castle
I'm sorry for the nooob question, but where is the lord's quarters? i mean, the castle is soo big i can't find it... please help me DD: This is a fabulous mod congratulations
This is a fabulous Mod! Its actually th first mod I was able to download and have it work right without a single glitch the first time I tried it. Considering the fact that I have windows vista which makes almost everything a hassle this Mos gets my full endorsement. YES this castle is so Huge you will get lost! its also the prettiest castles I have seen. I followed people into th chapel down through a hatch in the floor to a HUGE underground where the servant quarters were. They all fought over sitting atthe tables. haha The guards house..the guys knocked every plate on the floor and thrashed it. Big ole men and their clutsy armor. Its awesome if you ever need someone to be at your command all the solders are at your disposal. The clock towers chime really pretty. The best part is there is a connecting room for my companion mod and I was able to hop in the bed while he was sleeping in it. The Lords manner has a very beautiful ivory gold brocade canopy bed. Very romantic. Best Castle ever!

Not everything has to be locked and needing the key, maybe the main keep, the Lord's Chambers along with the front and back entrances.
