   Sorry, this may sound like a really dumb question, but do I put the .rar file into the data folder or do i extract the files form the .rar and put them into the data folder?

   If you're having trouble getting this to work, like colors not being used when you actually open the world map.
   
   Add -
   ArchiveInvalidation.txt to your Oblivion folder
   Open it
   And Add the following three lines -
   
   textures/menus/icons/map/map_icons_all.dds
   textures/menus50/icons/map/map_icons_all.dds
   textures/menus80/icons/map/map_icons_all.dds
   
   Worked for me. Hope it helps.

   I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but when i extract the file over to the data folder and then go into the game it doesn't work. Please tell me what i'm doing wrong.

   Alright i gotta say one thing on this mod... AWESOME it gives so much color to a sucky map i dunno why they didnt do this originally

    ...when I installed that Beta patch I lost the icons to default ones which are dull and boring.

    
    
    To fix this add the following lines to your Oblivion\ArchiveInvalidation.txt file:
    
    textures/menus/icons/map/map_icons_all.dds
textures/menus50/icons/map/map_icons_all.dds
textures/menus80/icons/map/map_icons_all.dds
