This is a must-have! At first, i thought it would show my character with the item like in the inventory but this suits me better. I love it when I run away after the vendor agreed. )
Works exactly as intented. I had to modify the formula in the script a bit to suit my needs but overall it spares me from having to save before making any bigger purchase. Thumbs up!
although a bit buggy for my setup, love the concept. On my system, all items I selected were put under one item so I couldn't try on more than one item at a time. once I gave it back, I couldn't select more items without starting the conversation all over again. Keep up the good work.
This is one of those mods that Beth would never have thought of, nor would you expect them to, but one that adds a lot more fun and immersion to the game. Awesome idea and very creative!
That said, there seem to be some bugs (nothing game breaking) but I'd love to see them fixed and the mod developed more. Two things: When pressing the draw weap key to try an item error messages pop up from OBSE (I'm using v17 stable). Secondly, when attempting to borrow multiple items at once the mod adds multiple instances of the first item borrowed but none of the second. Lastly, pressing the activate key after the merchant is dead still returns it to him.
Finally a couple suggestions (not sure how possible these are):
- Change the return item key to the draw weapon key. This will make the experience more consistent and intuitive. that or change both keys to activate. - Change the formula for whether the merchant lets you try the item. Include Personality, Speechcraft, Mercantile, Fame, and Infamy to the equation. This will allow for even more reasons to - Make it more difficult for the merchant to lend you an item. Right now a nuetral disposition of 50 allows you to borrow an item up to 750 gold ..seems a bit too trusting. Plus this will give people more reason to invest in mercantile and speechcraft. Additionally, this functionality can be aintegrated into the perks of mercantile (e.g. novice = no borrowing, apprentice = borrow items up to 500, journeyman borrow items up to 1000, etc).

Great money-saver!
Great mod works good. I like the ability to check things out to see if it looks good or holds well. Thanx!
