Twelve years down the road... Thank you so much for this! There is still not much out for making signs, but with your collection I am much better equipped!
The problem with putting them on a sign background is that the texturing for each of the different kinds of signs is different, and for some reason unknown to me, the corners of the sign frame are using the sign texture instead of the frame texture. Meaning that a generic background for Bravil signs would only work for other Bravil signs, and would not look right when used with a Cheydinhal, Leyawin, or even Bruma sign.
These pieces are meant to be used in a new layer which can be placed over whatever background the person wants, to be used with whatever kind of sign they want.
One note about saving new sign .nifs in nifscope. You MUST uncheckAutosanitize before saving the .nif if the sign has any sort of pivot havok. Failure to do this will result in the sign falling off its hinges in game.
I wishes you would have make them on an actual "sign"... for us whit a restricted knowledge on such program... but the idea is there, maybe i'll get my self to learn more on Photoshop...lol till then i'll continue to hope that you came up whit the same idea already install on "Solid" sign... Thanks Vagrant ! i might give it a try to photoshop i really need them... will it work, that is an other subject...lol
