There is an issue with at least two files, both meshes in the rocks/water/ooospawnfishrocks folder. The two meshes are incompatible with the corresponding texture and I had to go back to the original, unoptimized mesh files. I will keep this updated as I find more problems. I will also post a picture of what went wrong.

If you do not want to look at it, I'll just say that the rocks turned purple - meaning a texture is missing or is not compatible with the mesh. Again, replacing the original mesh fixed this problem. I hope I helped anyone with that problem.

This sounds great! Although I haven't used it, I'm really surprised at how little attention this has gotten along with your Qarl optimization mod. It seems like there should be more excitement over something like this! Can't wait to try it out and I'll give a rating once I do so.

Hi Beyonder! You might want to PIFFY those
    http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14347
    too, integrate them, and reupload.

You ARE a perfectionist, right ;-)

About that dual-core note down there: I have only a AMD 5000+ BE DC-Proc. and can run 8 Piffy-Automaters at the same time and still watch television on my machine, without stutter. Anybody better?!?!

@sackyhack: You Need OOO because it is optimizing the meshes that the mod OOO uses, no point in downloading this version if you don't have OOO because the items/monsters and such won't appear in the game anyways.

    Thanks for the work!

    Some tips:

The best is to use 1.2.2 (last) version.

Use it only on: Architecture, Clutter (excluding Magesguild subfolder), Furniture, Dungeons, Rocks and Plants folders.

The other ones (armos, characters, etc) could give you in-game problems.

And, if you have Dual Core processor (or Quad Core) you can run two (or four) optimizations at the same time. Reducing a lot the otmization time.

    Hope this helps!

Unless I'm mistaken (which I very well may be) if you use these meshes w/o the textures they're built for it won't work properly. Again I may be VERY wrong.

What I think is that if you installed OOO but deleted all the esp's you'd still have the meshes and textures from the mod w/o any of the gameplay changes. This way you could use the optimized meshes found here.

I tried the optimized meshes for Qarls and in some areas got an FPS boost of up to 15. Pretty amazing.

Another thing you could do which I'm positive works but is VERY time consuming is you could download PyFFI yourself and optimize whatever meshes you have that way. It's a simple program and is simple to install but is a pain to get the 3 or 4 programs it requires.

Once you do have PyFFI installed all you have to do is click a button, choose the folder you want optimized, and wait. It does the rest for you.

I'm currently optimizing my ENTIRE 7.8 GIG MESH FOLDER and estimate that will take about 6 days. Optimizing a fresh install of oblivion shouldn't take nearly that long.

If this is just replacing meshes, why does it still need OOO? I'd really like to use optimized meshes, but OOO makes my game crash even after a clean install. I don't have any problems with any other mods, and I don't really feel like I need OOO much, so I'd like to avoid it if I could. Can I still use these meshes w/o it?

    Thanks.
