About this mod

Septims are an inventory item. They are weighted and can be dropped or put in containers.

+++ NOTICE +++
This should no longer be necessary as kuertees original has a function (since v0.53) to name Gold Coins to Septims in the INI file.
----------------------------------------------------------
This is just kuertees "Gold is an inventory item" v0.51 found here (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21881) but with the name changed to "Septim(s)".

If (like me) you use "Gold Change II" (found here http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14233) to change the name of "Gold Coin(s)" you pick up to "Septim(s)", it's a little odd to pick up Septims and find Gold Coins in your inventory.

It might be a good idea to merge these two with TES4Files or Wrye Bash... but I just edited the name in this.

The Zip is already OMod ready, and if you use OBMM the install script will offer you the choice of weighted or weightless "septims". ;) I like to be able to drop gold, but don't like to change the game dynamics by making it heavy.

Mages need lots of cash, and have very little carry weight. It's all well and good to drop it all in a chest back home, but when you can't carry enough to buy a house, or even for the recharge fee on your stave...

I'd really badly need bank notes, and this mod doesn't go that far, and I'm thankful for it. Reneer's Gold Mod does that, but seems really complex and buggy right now. This is just right for me, even if I don't need carry weight, I do like to have enough put aside in a savings chest... so I don't spend it on shinies I see. ;)

If you find bugs in my modified version that are NOT in kuertees, I will help. For all other advise please refer to the original author.

This is an alternative to Reneer's Gold Mod.
This mod is not as full-featured as Reneer's.
E.g. This mod does not have any Credit notes.

NB: I had to build this mod because of a bug that i've been experiencing in my games that was causing any item picked up after Gold to increase encumbrance by incorrectly (usually by 1000s): http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=760445&view=findpost&p=13584735

This bug is particularly problematic when used with the various encumbrance mod.

The code is in no way written from or based on any code in Reneer's Gold Mod.
