I'm just getting back into Oblivion and I love my elf variants so this was a lock for me. However, I've noticed something odd while swapping around gear during my testing out the race. These elves had some odd markings all over their limbs, particularly the dark variant. Then I took a closer look and discovered that those markings on the dark variants were repeats of the body tattoos only much smaller, and the odd dos were nipples. Yes, the legs and arms are wrapped in the torso texture, which is REALLY noticeable on the pale variant (because you can see the abs lines on the legs). Somewhere along the line the textures aren't applying properly. Now, since these elves came packed in FOMO, I figured I'd download this and just swap the missing textures in...only there aren't any.

6 years since any update so I'm not expecting any miracles, but I don't really know my way around the toolset to fix it myself at this time. If anyone has a thought or the knowledge, please enlighten me on how to fix this.

    Thanks :)

It sounds like that you are using a body and/or outfits which aren't compatible with the Eyecandy body (if you play a female character) or Robert Male (if you play a male character). The default body and all other body types like BAB, UFF or Robert Female are not compatible with the race.

      for female characters: install
      - "Female EyeCandy Body Replacer" by Exnem or HGEC (HG EyeCandy Body)
      - default clothing/armor replacer for EyeCandy bodies like this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/11824
      - any outfits which are compatible with Exnem/HGEC

      for male characters:
      - RobertMaleBodyReplacerV52
      - default clothing/armor replacer: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/20328
      - any outfits which are compatible with Robert's male body

How to find out if a outfit/body is compatible with the body textures of the race:
      - the textures are lined up correctly
      - the mod description, readme or the title of the outfit mod says that's it's for HGEC or Exnem and/or Robert Male.

Although I haven't made any updates since then I'm still around here on the Nexus and read the comments on my mods from time to time like today.

Does this work with Oblivion Character Overhaul?

You could play with both mods because my mod doesn't make any changes to the default races; the Raven Elves won't use OCO's assets though.

    Looks quite good, thank you!

Small request (uploading a texture file would do just fine!): can you remove the panda on the ass?

(Using the "no tattoo" on the Raven DARK elf reverts the skin to PALE elf . . . and anyway I'd love to keep all the other tats)

    Thanx!

    @Selene310187

I did as you told me, and now it works. I think it was OBMM that fucked up the installation (it has done that for me before). Thanks a lot! =)

It sounds like some of the meshes and textures are not installed. Did you download the full version? If yes, here are the installation instructions for that version:

    - open the "00 Raven Elves Core" folder in the archive
    - select "Meshes", "Sound" and "Textures" folders and move them to your Oblivion Data directory
    - go back in the archive and choose between "01 Body Textures With Tattoos" and "02 No Body Tattoos"
    - open the chosen folder, select "Textures" folder and put it to Oblivion Data directory
    - go back in the archive again and choose between "03 Normal Head" and "04 Head06 Head"
    - open the chosen folder; if Head06 Head: select "Textures", "Meshes" folders and the "Raven Elves.esp" and put them to Oblivion Data directory; if Normal Head: select "Raven Elves.esp" and put it to Oblivion Data directory
    - optional: "20 Dark Raven Elves": move the content of that folder to your Oblivion Data directory

I'm having an issue... Whenever I select the Raven Elves race in the character creation menu, the character is bald, has black eyes and extremely dark skin. Do you know of a fix for this? (I love the pictures I've seen)

    Update of 22 January 2012
    - reuploaded Deepfreeze's Valeria 2.0 companion with his permission. You can find it in the Optional Files section.
    - added a patch which fixes the female hand texture if you choosed the "No body tattoos" option from the full version of Raven Elves. You can find it in the Updates section.

If you downloaded the full version, go to the folder "01 Body Textures With Tattoos" (if you want tattoos on the body) or "02 No Body Tattoos" (if don't want any tattoos on the body), open the folder of your desired option and put the textures into your Data folder. If chose the option wihout tattoos, install first the option with tattoos then overwrite with the other because I forgot the hand texture for the "No body tattoos" option.
The regular version (without addons) has not this problem.

Maybe I will made a fix. At the moment finishing Abyss Demon has first priority.

I just installed it and got everything to work--sort of.

I made a raven elf but her hands were pink. What happened? the rest of the body was just fine.
