I really enjoyed these two mods for oblivion. Just a curious question, is there a quest delayer somewhere for both of these? I really want to play both of these without having to quit the game and activating the second one.
1) Character doesn't "shrink" but makes my avatar HUGE in the inventory screen; 2) The annoying message every two minutes: I can't drop the sword. Wishing I hadn't even equipped it now; 3) Couldn't put the ingredients in the wine so had to use console to bypass that.
Oh good lord, that's certainly not intended; yes, this old thing is a buggy mess coded by someone without an inkling of an idea of what he was doing, sorry about that...
No problem. Ran into a few 'bugs' but finished the mod Loved the storyline. It somehow reminded me of the LOTR story. ROFL! Still a great quest mod. Part of me wished
*SPOILER AHEAD FOR THOSE NOT BEAT THIS YET!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!!*
The Dwarves hadn't lost their house. The place was interesting and gave another city to visit from time to time. Too bad there wasn't a quest to rebuild it.
*END OF SPOILERS* As I previously pointed out, those were the only three bugs I found on my end. Overall, I would give this mod a 11/10. 🤣 Great storyline, interesting characters, challenging puzzles and battles make this a MUST HAVE mod for me. One thing I noticed which was quite hilarious was the way "the" was misspelled. Most people would be irritated but I found it gave a uniqueness to the game.
Wow, that was really all that went wrong? And you finished it? That's fantastic, I'm glad you were able to, AND you enjoyed it; and yes, I was a bit overzealous with the mountain collapse, if I were to go back and remake it, I'd at least let the player keep THEIR house...
Of course I finished it 😊 Unless a mod is completely messed up, I give my best to finish it to the end. And considering it was a quest mod, definitely keeping it in my even AFTER finishing the mod.
just started this interesting mod and all is well until i had to retrieve the blue stone. after speaking with dwarve character instructed me to go down the hill, never saw the bandit wading in the water to kill and get blue stone, so i setstage in console to move on but did not get the emerald arrows. so i took the the arrows there and when i had all four items returned to brogg and was able to give all items except the arrows, so i do not know what to do so that i can get the key from him. setstage will not work as far as getting the key, any thoughts?
Hmmm, well, the biggest issue as always is the lack of the next topic being added; my inexperienced self truly made problems like this incredibly difficult to solve...
It seems the "Reward" topic with Brogg is triggered by the seawater being returned, so if you've done that, all you need is Stages "36" "37" "38" and "39" of DMM0001 to be completed, with "38" being the arrows, but the quest NOT completed at Stage "40"...
So, if you've handed in the other three, simply type into the console:
SetStage DMM0001 38
That should allow the Reward topic to appear and continue the questline...
Just played and beat this man i absolutely loved the story didnt feel like a mod but felt like quest that belonged in oblivion. Really enjoyed will start chapter 2 now.
In "The Botanist's Legacy" (Side Quest) I collect 20 Firebrush Stems and went back to the Dwarves City after I get out of the mine in ""Into The Great Mines" quest I get the update that I must give these to the Gardener but he's not in his garden even though the green mark point there .. what should I do? .. is this a bug or something?..
The marker points to the garden, not the Gardener; I've just checked his routine, and if he's not wandering around the garden, he's sleeping inside Drakk's House...
Many thanks .. I found him inside the house just like you said and complete the quest ..
I also encounter the size issue because I'm using a custom race but thanks to you again I read through the old comments and found the solution if I'm a modder I will help with this and create an optional patch for those like me who use custom race .. almost finish chapter 1 I'm so excited to see what will happen next XD .. I didn't expect the Geomancer to be behind all of this good story good plot this deserve to be an official DLC splendid Emerald .. well done ..
Yes, it's an unfortunate conflict, one that if I ever get around to Remastering this old mod, I will certainly rectify; and you are far too kind, I greatly appreciate the praise, I just hope Chapter 2 is equally to your tastes as the first...
I assume the spell you refer to is the spell that "shrinks" you? The Form ID is xx01620A, but depending on how many mods you have, and the order my mod appears in the list, the "xx" will have to be worked out by you, and I'm not personally certain how to do that...
No I meant the second one .. the one that return the character to the normal size .. the first one already disappeared when I use it to shrink .. but the second one remain with me because I couldn't return to normal with it ..
Ohhh, of course it would be, the script on the spell removes the spell, that's what confused me; because if you're a custom race, the script doesn't work, and the spell isn't removed...
first time playing this was no problem and its a great mod
apart from the sea captain quest when you go to the sunken ship I killed one of the sailors for the key in the underwater cave and the door wouldn't open that was solved by exiting the game and coming back and re-loading
2nd time I had a s#*! ton of glitches
a lot of them were also solved by reloading the game sometimes it wouldn't work the first time but eventually did but im up to showdown on blizzard peak and no matter how many mods i remove, re-patched this mod and re-loaded the game, the geomancer wont talk to me but instead when I talk to him I just get the normal conversation options such as ''rumor'' so the quest wont continue
I don't know why it worked well the first time and fucked up the 2nd but I think this mod glitches too easily when i make a mistake and I cant figure out what mistake I made. I dunno if its because I took the dwarven armor off and on early or because my character is a vampire or what but its annoying
also the first playthrough the geomancer had an elf voice and thick eyeliner surrounding half is face, second playthrough he has a nord voice and no eyeliner
UPDATE: During 'showdown on blizzard peak' I realized the mistake I made was I used the amulet to revert back to a ''bigg'n'' too late when I was already outside on top of the mountain I skipped 1 or 2 quest updates which is why the Geomancer didn't talk to me that time. My 3rd playthrough I reverted back to a ''Bigg'n'' in the catacomb that Sickle shows me before heading up to the top of the mountain, Had no problems after that.
That is rather unusual, but not beyond the range of the strange things that have sometimes happened with this mod; I will say, this was my first attempts at scripting, and it shows, and while I'm glad you did get to play it, I'm sorry you had so many problems the second time around...
The scripting involved with shrinking and fusing the armor to your character is...bad, and messy, and I should have found a much better way around it at the time; and the reason you're seeing two different Geomancers, is because the one you initially meet is disguised as a Dwarf, and the later, more elven one is his actual appearance as a Dwemer...

Oh I almost forget .. what is the code for the spell? so I can remove it from my inventory because it's useless to me anyway ..
The Form ID for that spell is xx016212...
