This treasure hunt is out of my league "> the first 2 shrines I did I found the artifacts fairly easily by thinking 'where would I hide something' the last 4 I haven't found a thing and I'm getting really disheartened with it, a clue would be nice. Also what is meant by fairly close to the shrine, are we talking outside the area that the shrine registeres you have found it or inside this area?
Surely things aren't hidden in the grass, weaving backwards and forwards looking for something lost in the grass makes me feel ill.
@Shvornis- an artifact is usually an old item of value, like things you'd find in a ruin. A statue could be an artifact, as could a weapon, a specialized piece of armor, etc.
In Morrowind and I believe in Oblivion too, artifacts are written about in one of the lore books that talk about weapons of old, that were highly prized but lost ages ago.
Those daedric rectangular statues (if you've found any) would be an example of an artifact. The Savior's Hide armor would be another.
