I tried the mod, but found it underwhelming. I definitely wouldn't call it 'amazing' in any way as some others have. It's not bad at all, but these guards have no diversity, are all male, have extremely low stats & weapons, and quickly die in battle... and since they're not set as essential, they stay dead. I cast a mass frenzy spell on them and they killed each other in under a minute. And there's a ton of them, so I'd have to edit them all in the CS to get them as formidable as guards should be. I already had to do that with Legions of Cyrodiil and other similar mods, which took many, MANY hours, so I'm not willing to do all that again with this mod.
If it didn't use the Tamriel Resource pack, which uses up 2 load slots (esm & esp) and can cause slowdowns, I'd keep it just for another place to visit. But using up 3 slots just for 1 fort is too much. Needs to be redone by somebody to keep it down to 1 esp. But with this mod being as old as it is and no one having done that yet, I'd guess it's not gonna happen.

A Walkthrough for all factions quests...and yes there seems to be a strange bug with the rat on the lighthouse tower...indeed the rat has eaten the key and the poisened cheese..so you should find the key inside the dead rat xD. For unknown reasons it sometimes happens that you find the key only beside the cheese wedge...without the rat...or even worse the dead rat can be found at the bottom of the tower with or without the key. It is all set up right in the CS though...so..yeah :/
For Cobl... You only need the Cobl esm and the resources, this will not change or damage or do anything to your game. You do not need any of the coble esps for Fort Akatosh. However, without the amazing Cobl resources this mod would loose a ton of functions and features...all the lore books, all the tamrielic wares and trading goods, all the food items ...beaking your own bread and much much more...
I really would like to come back and work on this again...there was a lot more planned :)

I think this is one of my favourite mods. But I can't play it with Better Cities and Unique Landscapes because of the Tamriel Resource Pack clogging up Oblivion's engine.
I respectfully ask- nay.. beg you. Could you please make a version that doesn't require the Resource Pack? I know it wouldn't be as fun but all I really care about is the super cool Legion Armor, Quests and Factions you can join!

I add to the problem - it crashes for me every time I reach Fort Akatosh (and yes, esm and esp are activated - as I'm not new to getting mods for Oblivion that's a given). The first time I could see the missing mesh sign at the cranes and the ships which hints at some problems with the tamriel resources based on Mr Silkars ports - after that it just crashes before I can see anything.
Does anyone have a fix for it?
(I still have the very old Akatosh pack in which, on top of Cobl, the Elder Council and their resource packs were needed. Way more steps to get it running but it worked flawlessly back then. What happened now? Why does it crash when steps are taken away from the procedure? And just in case someone would mention: Delete the old version - that was on a different pc years back - so nothing to delete or to uninstall. Just in case.)
I really like this Mod but the problem is that, I can't find the Cargo Hold Key on Lighthouse since there is nowhere to find for quest: Join the North East Empire Company. Anyone else has the same problem?
This doesn't go well with better city's and it is hard to know which resource pack (and their version's) are needed? Ctd at Cropsford. Got lot of missing body/general meshes but i guess that is my fault cause cobl or tamres werent the right version???

Elder Council works fine on the other side of things the only thing there is the forced races (nord beard, nord young yada yada...) on CUO and the lich spells that you get at game start if you have mage birthsign's and class.. The tes4edit tool and construction set should fix this easy back to work.
the install for this is unclear now and I know my way around installing mods. Cobl has been updated and what's the recourses we are to use recourses could mean a few things. could someone post a list of that's needed for Cobl and Tamriel Resource Pack, so wo don't kill are install lol. thank I would very much be grateful
How do you advance from duty calls queststage 20? I have all the evidence but it is not telling me to go meet seccus, when i force it to go the the next stage and talk to the guy there is no conversation items. This mod is great but I cannot complete this quest. Anyone have an idea how? EDIT: I fixed it, I used the move quest items mod to drop the necromancers robes and the necromancers moon book and picked them up and the script fixed itself it seems. I guess the script missed the first time I picked it up.

2. Cobl 174 Base.
3. A taste for brilliant mods
