seems like too mutch work if you ask me, just give me a dead reload that just respawns you in a save location like a tombe in the IC and let you keep all your items instead of needing to get them the whole time (seriously i die beffor i reach my corpse! i play FCOM you know!)
or what you could also do you are visited by a fallen angel he or she sais aaah another unlucky adventurer i have a proposition for you ill grant you another chance to breathe, but you must do a little task for me here"and then something like slaying another dark angel or something with armor provided by the mission giver after that youll need to find someone to fully heal you cuz youve been ded for some time to completely reconstruct your body tissue cuz after bein dead you migh decompose and poeple will see you for a zombie, or something like that, then it is a challenge to get back to life

3 let all items ALL OF THEM still be with you when you respawn, its anoying i need to look for the corpse every time, somtimse i cant even find it you can do 2 things here, 1 add a map marker after you die to your corpse with a mission "retrieve your missing items" or just let all items respawn on your character and only let the corpse be there as decoration with "bonemeal" mortslesh" and other zombie stuff,
and ofcours, just add a spell or some sort that brings you to your corpse, (only to the ones that have items in it, ones with empty inventory's are skipped)
Id actually like to see a WoW style death, where you turn into a ghost, and you have to visit a spirit healer or find your corpse to rez, and same durability damage and stat reduce if u use a spirit healer, the draw back is having to run back to your corpse would be interesting instead of a typical load.
it keeps the game playing without loading a save but, I think this would be too complicated to do, not impossible just very time consuming having to setup spirit healers and graveyards all over the world could take a year or more with 1 person ^^; oblivion is huge.

I was looking at the script the game uses to summon a clone of the player during the Shivering Isles Quest - there's a section of the script devoted to removing all quest items and problem items from the player clone. Could it be used to help with your problem?

This will probably never happen, but imagine a discworld mod? Or even just a wizards university, or ... imagine Ankh Morpork.....
