Thanks for the comments. It was pretty simple to do, it just struck me as annoying having to run the gauntlet between 4 of these things one night. So I started tearing apart other scripts to find the pieces I needed and was suprised nobdy had done this before (though I have seen one that removes them entirely).
Decius, my guess is that you have to disable them every time because its the same world, but "new" in a sense where everything is respawned. Its like killing a dremora then closing the gate then opening another one to the same world and the dremora won't be there. there will be a new spawned one. But yeah i guess you gotta do it every time
Will these permanently disable the turrets? According to what I read on OblivionWiki there are 56 oblivion gates which randomly leads to 7 oblivion worlds. Let's say if I enter gate 1 that leads to world 7 and proceeded to disable the turrets there and after closing the gate, I enter gate 2 which leads me to world 7 again. Would the turrets there still be disabled? Apologies in advance if this turns out to be a silly question.
