It does help and I like the idea of adding some guardians, as for the location I wanted the house to be in the water, I probably need to improve how you get to it though. I would also advise using the diving gear at the part of the lake near the IC Market district (nothing sellable here), near the piers at anvil and the house legs.

Looks a greta building but I suggest putting it on some rocks or a bit of land.
If it really needs to be 'Mageified' then why not have it floating above the water with a ladder up to it?
Maybe have some mermaids protecting it.
