    I have to agree with Snowball99 on his recent comment. I just recently bought the shack in the Imperial City Waterfront. I used the Deluxe IC Shack mod, which added a luxurious apartment underneath the shack, accessable through a trap door. I'm also using the Better Benirus Manor mod that redoes the Benirus Manor in Anvil. I thought it was odd to see a portal inside an old rundown shack, and it was in a strange place, kind of in the corner and partially under the bookshelf. I thought something was wrong with the mod, so I entered. When I did, I found myself in a basement that looked just like the one you would reach if you were to enter the portal in the Benirus Manor (or at least the Better Benirus Manor, i've never played the vanilla manor). I thought for sure something was wrong with the Deluxe IC Shack mod, so I disabled it, and the portal was still there. Then I thought it was to do with the Better Benirus Manor mod, but after using RefScope, it told me it was this one.

    While I think the central basement idea is a great one, I also have to agree that I was expecting more like a cave/old dusty basement-type setting, as Snowball99 mentioned. At the moment, i'm debating on whether I want to use this mod now that I know what it's about. I've made a few mods for Morrowind, so I can understand how time-consuming modding can be. I do appreciate the effort and the time. It's just not what I expected or hoped for. On the other hand, if these portals led to an ancient underground Ayleid ruin converted into a basement-type of setting, then I would definitely consider using this mod. Just a thought. I'll keep this bookmarked and pop in every now and again.

    that's THE mod
    but, um... what about making it work for frostcrag reborn?
    i know frostcrag reborn already has a huge basement called avalon but another one would be better, especially because it's compatible with CObl and have many more functions!
    about useless doors, if you ever were at the testing hall you surely won't care about it, hehehehe
    keep the great work going, you surely will receive my endorsement, but i still have to wait one hour(and i'm playing six hours already...)

    Are you completely sure you have CoBl installed? Missing masters is the most common cause of crashes in mods that require content from another mod.

    Also, if you think about it, this mod has over 800 unique downloads and 5 endorsements, yet you are the only one who has complained about this mod causing crashes. So really, it is obvious that the problem is something on your side, which means it is very bad form to label my mod as buggy in this case.

    As for your attic suggestion, the main problem I can see in that is finding a balance between:
    a) locating a building where an attic can be added without making the interior look much larger than the exterior, and
    b) making the attic large enough that your character doesn't continuously bump his/her head against the roof.
    Basements don't have these problems, just sink them into the ground.

    I installed this MOD ( using OBMM's "omod conversion data").
    Dialog : "Do you want install the Sheep Wool plugin? It requires MMM to function."

    Because I had not installed MMM,I selected "No".
    But, OBMM printed following message.

    Invalid argument to function 'DontInstallPlugin'
    File 'Basement for COBl - Sheep wool addon.esp' is not part of this plugin on line 11

    OBMM Script's error?

    After this MOD activated in OBMM, "Basement for Cobl - Sheep Wool addition.esp" has been activated. I was obliged to deactivated it on manual.

    "Basement for Cobl - Sheep Wool addition.esp" is exists in this MOD, but "Basement for COBl - Sheep wool addon.esp" is not exist.
    This may be misspelling of "addition" and "Cobl"(if this script be in need of casesencitive.).

    Thank you for the feedback Snowball99.

    I guess one could say that it looks more like a house than a basement. I was considering an Ayleid theme for an update. What do you think of that idea?

    There are only 2 doors which have no function and I had plans for at least one of those doors. If I redo the basement though, non-functional doors probably won't be a problem.

    As for servant in a different room, most houses which have servants living in them do keep tham in a seperate room. In fact, some even keep them in a seperate building.

    Have you tried walking to the place you see the basement on your map? If you did, you wouldn't find anything there. What you just described is a bug in Oblivion's engine. If an exterior cell isn't directly linked to Tamriel, moving into that cell puts your character's marker in the place you left Tamriel. In the case of an interior cell, the marker is moved to a specific place on the map, namely the place you see when you open the map while in the basement (somewhere in the north-eastern part of Elsweyr if I'm not mistaken). Pocket dimension? Maybe. Specific house location? Definitely not. I could try and create a picture to replace the map while you are in the basement to fix this problem. How does that sound to you?

    As for the suggestion of buyable portals, that could very well be a solution for Nezaros' suggestion below. Thank you very much.

    I really do like this mod. Kudos to the author for making it the most COBL-aware house mod Ive seen.

    My only criticism (constructive, I hope) is that the place doesnt look like a basement. It looks like a house..in fact like house interiors we have already seen somewhere. Certain doors seem to have no function, and Im uncertain why the servants room has to be in a different cell.

    If you look on the worldmap, you can see that you are in fact at a specific location that most definitely is NOT your basement. It possibly should be advertised as a portal to a pocket dimension, or a specific house location.

    I would have liked to have seen this look like a basement or cave environment, and maybe use a trapdoor graphic instead of a mage teleporter. There is another basement mod that looks excellent, but is not nearly as advanced in its utilization of COBL.

    A possible improvement could also be the addition of buyable portals to place in other house mods.

    @nezaros

    Thank you for the rating

    I would have added the DLC houses if it weren't for the fact that I don't own any DLC packs. If someone who does have the DLC is willing to make a plugin for this purpose then I am more than willing to add it into this mod.

    @Grape_ape
    I thought that was the problem. I can't understand how upgrading CoBl would remove books (belonging to another mod) from your inventory though. Easiest way of finding an Editor ID is to use TES4 Gecko. I hope you get your books back.

    @Daug
    Thanks for the positive rating. This is usually the intention of all basement mods. I just tried to make mine a bit more useful.

    As for everyone else, keep those comments comming in! Can anyone confirm whether the plants in my garden regrow consistently? I would really like to remove that from the readme and I haven't really played the game since I started modding (except to test).
