Really surprised that this is still downloaded at all. Skyrim easily has the better engine, and the behind-the-scenes modding changes even made most of this unnecessary.

I have some time now so will take a pass at bug fixes for COBL, will open a bugs tab here to collect those. At the least I need to compare the latest UoP and make any updates if there are conflicts. And try to tackle the Races issues that keep cropping up.

As for general improvements, this mod interlocked with OOO, MMM, and a few other mods. There was a crew for that but they fizzled out once FO3 came out. If anyone knows of active development, PM me and I'll try to help out. Otherwise, I was actually thinking of some FO4 mods so you'll find me over there....

Skyrim might be an overall better optimized game but people aren't here downloading mods for Oblivion because they think it's better, they're here because they want to experience Oblivion again, let's not call anything unnecessary and appreciate games that have a decent amount of nostalgia behind them.. lol

I think Oblivion is better than Skyrim, otherwise I'd probably be playing Skyrim

Only thing better in Skyrim are the graphics and engine, the rest Oblivion wins, still Skyrim is a great game too and i love it as well.

and Morrowind is even better (depthness, story, atmosphere....). Sincerly, the only better things in newer Bethesda titles are graphics and engine (which are quite obvious improvements...), all other components of the games just got extremely simplified (or even completely forgotten..)

The Daggerfall masterrace disagrees with that sentiment. ;)

It's not like the experience is inferior.  It's a fun game.  Made all the better by mods like this and others.

So, I installed CObl, but none of the assets seem to be showing up in the game, that includes The Luggage, I've checked the load order, and it doesn't seem to be conflicting with any other mods. I downloaded CObl because I have several player home mods that require it to work properly, and it's really frustrating that this is happening. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

Edit: some of the CObl assets are showing up in the game, such as the ingredient sorter and the beers, but still no Luggage! I don't even see the options for it in the CObl options menu in-game.

Edit 2: Turns out, I'm an idiot! It's been 11 years since I last played Oblivion, and I completely forgot that you have to find and befriend The Luggage first before it will show up anywhere!

Cobl is sending me a message saying it works OOO 1.3 or higher and the OOO i have must be uninstalled and updated to OOO 1.3 or higher but i have OOO 1.5 is there anyway to fix this. And is it possible to play Cobl without the OOO tweak.

I haven't seen any problem. Maybe somebody else has? I think that's because it doesn't detect the original and you have the more recently updated OOO made by someone else other than Jorge Salgado.

Does this mod add dwemer scrap metal to alchemist shops? If so, it has a sparkling effect on it that doesnt mix well with enb. There are like transparent squares floating around each individual sparkle... Any way to hide the mesh responsible for this, some kind of fix, simple way to remove that ingredient from game, etc.?

I have the Oblivion GOTY Edition from Steam and have all DLCs installed. I installed this mod with Wrye Bash's wizard tool and I installed the mod with the wizard. I saw that the tweak that I installed was vanilla.esp instead of SI.esp. I believe I should uninstall COBL and reinstall it with the correct tweak but I'm not really sure about it. Could anyone please confirm it to me? Should I uninstall cobl and reinstall it with the SI.esp tweak or not? TIA

Trying to go back and replay Oblivion content with Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul installed, since I preferred its version of an unlevelled world. Cobl for Oblivion absolutely will NOT detect OOO at all, and I am now completely uninstalling Cobl altogether, so it stops pestering me with its malicious popups about needing an OOO upgrade, even though I installed the latest version and have the load order correct.

OOO is the reason I don't use COBL. It'd be great if they worked together, but I'm just happy I got my 40-50 other mods I use working with OOO correctly. OOO adds so much to the game, I don't play without it. It goes VERY well with Oblivion XP.

What's this talk of them not working together? You can. You must go into Tes4Edit. Open Cobl Tweaks - OOO. Go to the quest section. Remove the flag that says something about repeating quest. It's at the top can't miss it, and and change to priority number from 0 to 1. Take a photo of the QuestID.
Then go into the game and open the console and type in SetStage "the quest id" 1

I did this with Cobl Tweaks - MMM.esp and it worked.

The quest for the info on OOO will end and stop repeating the popup. It's not that Cobl doesn't detect your OOO at all. It's that for some reason thinks you're using an old version.

The codl main.esm is in the ''01 stable core folder''.

so extract Codl  copy the   01 stable core folder  (place on desktop, just cause its easy to find)

within vortex "install from file" select  the  "01 stable core folder".

    Loot should confirm it

WTF are you talking about with 'codl'? And don't use LOOT for Oblivion, it's sorting is way out of whack. Use BOSS instead which is far more reliable.

Im trying to do a MO2 installation imstead of my wrye bash one after i goofed it and for the love of god Wrye just refuses to create a bashed patch when Cobl is active, doesn't matter if i installed it through wrye basy separately from my MO2 load order or directly through MO2 every time im about to finish making the bashed patch i get a struct.error: unpack requires a string argument of lenght 4, seems to be something related to Python but it only happens when i enable Cobl.esm otherwise i can create a bashed patch without it.
I would love for some help with this because i haven't been able to found anything to solve this issue and disabling cobl is not an option for me
