ramatic Main Menu Video Replacer V1.0

-----------------------------------------

Tired of the dull, pointless map loop that you see in the background of the Oblivion main menu, and don't see much improvement in other replacement videos that show some pretty cool scenery but nothing else? This mod contains an attract sequence meant to get you hyped to hit the "Load" button and start kicking Daedric ass. Inspired by trailers for "The Watchmen", the video contains high-contrast cinematography that conveys an emotional story of a Mythic Dawn attack on the Imperial City Market while Mankar Cameron opens the first Oblivion Gates.

The new video is approximately 52MB in size and a minute and a half in length. It runs at the default video's 1280X700 resolution, so it matches Oblivion's layout perfectly. The video was edited to be synced to Roadrunner United's "The End" and it is recommended you replace your tes4title file with that song, though this is entirely optional and the video still goes along great with the default music and any other song you have running at start.

Installation
------------

Go to the Oblivion/Data/Videos folder

Find the file named "Map loop". Change the name of the file (to something like Map loop_01) or move it to another folder. DO NOT DELETE/OVERWRITE THE ORIGINAL MENU VIDEO just in case.

Copy the Map loop.BIK file contained in the zip to your Oblivion/Data/Videos folder.

[OPTIONAL] Obtain an MP3 of Roadrunner United's "The End" through legal means. Rename it to "tes4title" and copy it to the Data/Music/Special folder (again, rename or move the original file).

Start up Oblivion normally. There is no need to activate any data files for this mod.

Bugs/Conflicts
--------------

As long as you can run the default map loop video, you can run this mod with no technical problems.

Two or three shots may run at a choppy framerate. This is not your computer struggling, slow motion just doesn't work as well in video game footage as I hoped.
