After returning to Oblivion after two years, I discover that my favorite mod at the time, Expanded Hotkeys and Spell Delete by scruggs, does not work anymore with the latest patch. Sure, there are alternative hotkey mods out there, but Expanded Hotkeys and Spell Delete was different in that you could _select_ an active spell by single key-combination, so you could cast the spell later( and recast again and again) , rather than casting right away and subsequent pressing key-combinations in order to recast. Also, it supported item hotkeying, a feat nowhere to found among mods. So when it came apparent that without it my Oblivion experience was hampered, I decided to update the mod myself and possibly add a few improvements.
Changes:
- Item/spell hotkeys are fixed to the keyboard keys: 1, 2, 3, 4, Q, E, R, T AND F. Full item gear hotkeys are fixed to the keyboard keys: Z AND C. The hotkeys are now in the closest vicinity of the movement keys WASD in order to maximize playing efficiency. - Modifier keys are mappable to any keyboard key or the left, middle or right mouse button. - Improved and extended the F8 menu. - Added a short info/help message in the F8 menu. - Added spell/item//gear assigned messages. - Decreased the size of the esp by half by deleting unused scripts. - Fixed all broken and deprecated(isKeyPressed) function calls.
